Around the time Hank was working in El Paso, Tortuga met with his boss in the cartel, Juan "El Jefe" Bolsa. Bolsa offers Tortuga a birthday present: a live tortoise. He even paints a birthday present onto the tortoise's shell. Tortuga panics when he sees what Bolsa wrote for him: "HOLA DEA". Before he can escape, the Cousins apprehend and behead him.

* DeadStarWalking: Danny Trejo gets this treatment for the second time in this series. The first time, he was killed off screen after his OneSceneWonder turn as Tortuga. This episode begins by showing Tortuga's execution, providing a few more details concerning his death.

After Mike leaves, satisfied that the Cousins have been driven off and that Walt is safe for the time being, Skyler returns home and finds Walt inside. She threatens to call the police, but Walt refuses to leave, explaining to her that his family was everything to him, and without it, he had nothing to lose. Junior returns home and greets his father as the police arrive, infuriating Junior. Skyler tries to explain to the officer that Walt was trespassing and that she wanted him arrested. However, there is no legal reason to arrest Walt: they were not legally divorced yet, since Walt did not sign the divorce papers, and as such, Walt was still legally allowed in his own home. Since there was no domestic abuse, either, there was nothing they could do.

Walt moves into the house and tells Skyler he has no intention of leaving. She won't hear of it but Walter Jr. is thrilled that his Dad is back. It doesn't stop her from calling the police however in an attempt to have him thrown out. She also decides to pursue her own interests. Jess is still having trouble coming to terms with his girlfriend's death but has moved back into his house and seems ready to get down to work. Unbeknown to Walter, Gus has arranged a meeting with his Mexican cartel counterparts and makes it clear that he wants him left alone, at least for now. Hank is still stressed and lashes out in a bar.
