* EpicFail: Bob calls Linda and realizes she'll have to finish preparing Thanksgiving dinner because he has to drag Gayle to the apartment. Bob ''and'' Linda both know she's not prepared for this and Bob almost starts crying during the phone call, but they have no choice. Unfortunately, Linda and Tina overthink finishing the turkey while Louise and Gene prepare side dishes that are completely inedible to anyone but them, effectively destroying the entire meal. Linda's attempt to move the turkey is especially disastrous. Instead of simply taking the pan out and turning it around, Linda tries to hoist the turkey up by its drumsticks and rips them off. She then tries to ''sew them'' back on. It's no wonder Bob insists on preparing Thanksgiving dinner by himself.

Added DiffLines:

* LackOfEmpathy: As a result of Gayle's [[ToxicFriendInfluence Toxic Sister Influence]] on Linda, Linda is barely bothered by the fact Gayle's completely derailed everyone's Thanksgiving and treated Bob like a slave just so she could get attention.
* TheMillstone: This episode features Gayle at what might be her absolute worse, highlighting how much she can drag down her sister-in-law's family. She starts off by faking a leg injury to the point she not only pretends to have slipped in her bathroom when Bob arrives, she makes him drag her around in an inflatable pool alongside her cat in a snowstorm. While Bob's forced to do this, Linda and the kids have to finish preparing Thanksgiving dinner and pretty much destroy the entire meal. At the very end Gayle eventually tries to atone for her behavior by dragging Bob back herself, acknowledging what a burden she was for attention.

* UnwittingInstigatorOfDoom: Linda, who didn't bother to mention to Bob it was likely Gayle was faking her injury to get attention despite later admitting how Gayle does it all the time. It would've made more sense for Linda to get Gayle since she's grown accustomed to this behavior and so Bob would've been able to stay home and prepare the dinner, sparing everyone a world of frustration. (Though Bob did insist on being the one to get her instead of Linda, citing her past issues with driving in heavy snow.)

* AttentionWhore: Gayle, to the degree she regularly fakes injuries to get attention for incredibly selfish and petty reasons. She does it so much Linda is barely fazed by her behavior at this point.

* DeclarationOfHate: After everything Gayle put Bob through, and then finding out from Linda how Gayle pulls this shit all the time, he exasperatedly tells Linda he hates Gayle. Linda refuses to accept that and tells Bob he ''has'' to love her since Gayle's family. He later rescinds it of his own choice after Gayle pulls Bob through the snow to make up for what she did.
