* AccidentalTruth: Shake's claims of a flightless bird laying eggs that act as pinballs turns out to be true. But, in true Shake fashion, he insists the bird he got the eggs from was a different one. Given this is Shake, he probably just painted some eggs in silver.
* AwesomeButImpractical: Shake's custom made pinball machine sounds more impressive than it would be to play. Each of the 18 flippers has a button, the foot petal controls the angle of the board, an egg shaped pinball and a fountain in the middle. Even ignoring that he accidentally broke it, the machine sounds more elaborate than it needs to be, and likely a nightmare to fix if one things goes wrong.
* BlatantLies: Shake's "incredible adventures" aren't so much incredible or adventures as they are him doing this mundane like stealing pennies from a fountain.
* DumbassHasAPoint: Subverted. Shake refused to pay for a round trip, as it was more expensive than a one way trip. Obviously, had they done that or rent the boat as Frylock wanted, they'd have been off the island by now.
* NeverMyFault: Shake made a series of self-help books that encourage this behavior. It appears all the books are in their garage, with Shake blaming Frylock for shutting down the website. Given how Shake following his own advice only lands him in more trouble, it's more than likely his book was just unhelpful.
