** PlayedForLaughs as when Domino is msiling the Plantars, a ''big cat's roar'' is heard.

** Polly has a silent version as she sees a chihuahua in the vets gnawing on a chew toy that resemble her, realizing that the much-larger animals could potentially give her a worse mauling if their attentions turn to her than Domino gave the three Plantars all at once.

* EyeScream: While Domino attacks the Plantars, Sprig is heard screaming "My eye!"

* IncorrectAnimalNoise: For some reason, a red-tailed hawk's cry is heard when a heron flies over the Plantars.

** The Plantars assume that taking Domino to the vet will be an easy way to prove themselves not freeloaders. Cue a SmashCut to the outside of the house as the angry cat mauls them, and another SmashCut to Domino in her carrier and the Plantars covered in cuts and bruises.

** Polly has a silent version as she sees the animals in the vets gnawing on chew toy and such that resemble her, realising that the much-larger animals could potentially give her a worse mauling if their attentions turn to her than Domino gave the three Plantars all at once.

* TheThingThatWouldNotLeave: After learning they've been with the Boonchuys for a week, Hop Pop worries about becoming a "freeloader" like "Cousin Stanley", a (probably phony) distant relative who stayed with him for months on end until he, Sprig, and Polly got fed up and threw him into the swamp from a second-story window.

* OverlyNervousFlopSweat: Seen on Polly (despite frogs being unable to sweat) as she witnesses a chihuahua mauling a plush toy that looks like her.

** When a heron flies overhead, the Plantars freak out -- remembering that the herons on their world are colossal -- until it lands in a nearby fountain and is no larger than Sprig. They laugh until it bites Sprig's arm, causing them to freak out again.

* SurprisinglyRealisticOutcome:
** It turns out that Anne developed eight cavities and still had a whole bunch of cricket legs stuck in her teeth from her time in Amphibia. Whilst she might have ''seemed'' fine and healthy in previous episodes, she wasn't planning on getting TrappedInAnotherWorld, and accordingly, her dental hygiene suffered for it because she didn't have a toothbrush (except in "Best Fronds") and appropriate access to any other objects that could have helped her look after her teeth - not helped by the fact she was a case of BizarreAlienBiology over in Amphibia, so the Plantars had no way of knowing if she wasn't taking good care of her health, or finding appropriate substitutes.
** Piggybacking on that, Anne shows reservations to going to the dentist. She may now have gotten back home and is very happy about it, but she is still a teenager with rebellious tendencies.

It turns out that Hop Pop can do this too, but primarily uses it to mimic the machine noises of Earth in order to trick Earthlings whilst in his SecretIdentity.
