Added DiffLines:

* BothSidesHaveAPoint: At the beginning of the episode, Stan goes on a rant about the government's social programs and how they just throw money at any lazy person who asks for it, which is proven to be true in the case of Roger, who created a persona so he could use the welfare system to get himself free stuff. Hayley concedes that while there are leeches and scam artists like Roger who abuse the system for selfish reasons, there are still people who legitimately need the programs and the benefits can even help them become more independent in the long-term, a view that Stan comes around to after his ordeal.

* BeyondRedemption: In Steve's eyes, he will never forgive Stan for costing him the chance to have sex with an incredibly hot teenage girl who was into nerds.
-->'''Steve''': ''I will hate you 'til the day I die.''
-->'''Stan''': Sure kiddo, camping sounds great!

-->"Do you sometimes feel irritable, restless, uneasy, sad, normal, or just plain not high? Maybe it's time to try crack. Crack may cause shivers, night terrors, gay for pay, heart palpitations, homicidal paranoia, or the sensation that you're on fire. Peeing blood and seeing friends' faces as talking skeletons are possible side effects of crack. People who use crack may also experience five-to-seven years in prison where brutal raping may occur. If you experience one or more of these side effects, consult your dealer. You may need more crack. Crack: isn't it time you see what all the fuss is about?"

Added DiffLines:

While trying to nurse a cold, Stan develops an addiction to crack.
----
!!Tropes:
* ExplainExplainOhCrap: When Roger bluntly tells him he's smoking crack, Stan tries to deny it by saying he got it from a homeless guy before realizing it's actually crack.
* OhNoNotAgain: Roger does this when he puts a plunger on his crotch like a penis, which has happened before and got stuck.
-->"I said I wouldn't do this again!"
* SideEffectsInclude: Stan giving in to his crack addiction plays out like a feel-good prescription drug commercial, with a narrator describing the side effects.
