* ItsAWonderfulPlot: Twice this happens. First, Stan switches lives with Principal Lewis so he could have a stress-free single life, only to realize that in doing so, Lewis gets Francine, Steve and Hailey. Then when he dies in an attempt to set things right, an angel sends him back to his real family. Only, it's not Francine, Steve, and Hailey. Instead, he has a devoted wife, a doting daughter, a jock son, Klaus is a regular goldfish, and Roger is a tenant who lives in the attic named Gerald. It turns out that the ''entire'' series was a ItsAWonderfulPlot, as Stan did not appreciate his real family, so he was given Francine, Steve, Hailey, Roger, and Klaus as punishment. It was only supposed to be temporary, but his case fell through the cracks when the angel handling it died and went to Super Heaven, and Stan forgot his real family. However, Stan has come to love his terrible family and wants to go back, so he tricks his wife into wishing she never married him.
