[[TimeSkip It's summer/spring]].

Alfred is prancing outside in the fields and going on abput how he loves spring. He chases after a buttefly until he passes Henk's house and stops to call out to him. Henk comes outside but complains about being awakened too early, and Alfred doesn't understand why does he just sit inside when it's such a beautiful spring. Henk tells him he was going to come over at some point because during spring cleaning he found an old photo of Alfred in the Sea Scouts that had been forgotten when he moved out.

While Henk is inside looking for the photo, Alfred talks to an out-of-frame bee how he used to live in that house because Henk raised him when he was orphaned. The bee immediately leaves when Alfred finishes thesentence and he waves it goodbye. Henk comes outside and is confused about who Alfred was talking to, and shows Alfred the Sea Scouts photo that was taken in the victory celebration. They become nostalgic and spontaneously decide to take a bus to the shore and go out at sea.

There's a new fishing ship in the harbor, and Stoppel is onboard. The fishers are whispering about him when he checks on the podium that's being assembled in front of the ship. Stoppel buys roses from a flower shop, and the seller congratulates him because ''Gloria'' is finished. When he's gone, she talks with her husband about how the area's fishermen are angry about the new ship, but she points out that it isn't Stoppel who built ''Gloria'' and he's just the captain. However, mayor K. Rokodil, who built ''Gloria'', is going to overfish and leave the local fishermen with nothing. Stoppel goes home and gives the roses to his wife Lisa.

Alfred's and Henk's bus arrives to the town, and they go to play on the beach.

Meanwhile, captain Stoppel goes to meet mayor Rokodil in his mansion, and runs into Lispel at the stairs. He accuses Lispel of spying on Rokodil, while Lispel says he just had a talk with Rokodil and leaves. In the meeting room, Rokodil is scaring his aquarium fishes when a butler announces Stoppel's arrival. Rokodil's wife Nina asks him if he's ready when Stoppel comes in. Rokodil asks Stoppel to sit down and tells him Hannibal is also coming and they can go to the party together. Rokodil explains that Hannibal has designed a new kind of a fishing ship that's even more modern and efficient than the one that's under Stoppel's command, and wants to demonstrate it to Rokodil personally. Stoppel is impressed, and Rokodil goes on about how he's going to catch every single fish in these waters, but Stoppel is still concerned about Lispel and tell Rokodil he saw him. Rokodil explains that he hired Lispel to spy on the fishermen who oppose his plans, and promises to find work for people once all the fishes are gone. Hannibal arrives with the prototype which Rokodil wants to see right now, but Nina tells him they don't have enough time, and Rokodil decides they can see it after the party. Hannibal leaves the suitcase to the mansion and they leave for the event.

Alfred and Henk have been sleeping on the beach and are awakened by fireworks. They go to see the new boat. Krokodile is holding a speech about how the ship is fully automated and only needs a captain and three crewmen. Additionally, ''Gloria'' has the machinery needed for canning the fish right away. Rokodil uses the opportunity to advertise his canned fish, and declares that a new era has begun. He tells Stoppel to speak about how proud he is of his new ship, but fishermen in the audience yell that ''Gloria'' is going to spell their doom. Stoppel promises that Rokodil has promised to employ everybody on land, so they're going to survive even with Rokodil's fishing ships out there. The fisherman objects when it duddendly starts raining hard and everybody leaves the ceremony. Nina still breaks a champagne bottle on ''Gloria'''s hull and the orchestra still plays when ''Gloria'' raises it's anchor.

In the evening, Alfred and Henk are watching the sunset from a pier and talking about how lucky Stoppel is to be the captain of such an awesome ship, when a herring suddendly jumps out of water in Alfred's face, causing him to fall into the sea and yelling that there's nothing awesome about ''Gloria''. The herring calls ''Gloria'' a murder weapon and tells Alfred that everybody is going to die. The fishes tell Alfred that ''Gloria'' is going to catch them all, condemning them to extinction because they'll die faster than they can reproduce. Unbeknowst to them, Lispel is sleeping at the bottom and their ruckus wakes him, motivating him to eavesdrop on them. Alfred apologises for not thinking about the consequences for the fishes.

At his house, Lisa is concerned about Stoppel's depressed behavior, but he says he's just nervous. Worrying about the local fishers, he goes out for a walk. He walks past the pier where Alfred and Henk are talking to the fishes. The fishes explain that there isn't anything they can do against the strip fishing, and teaming up will only make them an easier catch. Alfred doesn't know what to do. Then an old crab named Parmezanidas shows up, claiming to have wandered the world for hundreds of years and offering to give them advice. He tells them about a sawfish named Wiedewiedewage who's apparently hired for "this kind of jobs" often, though Parmezanidas takes a long while to remember his name. Lispel hears about Alfred's plan to hire Wiedewiedewage to saw ''Gloria'' in half. They're in a hurry because ''Gloria'' is leaving early in the morning, so immediately go looking for Wiedewiedewage. Lispel is leaving to report to Rokodil, but knocks himself out by hitting a rock.

At Rokodil's mansion, Hannibal presents Rokodil and Nina with the fully functioning prototype of the next ship, even more efficient than the current one. Hannibal demonstrates it in their aquarium, using a remote control to send a guided net to hunt down one of the fishes. The fish is cornered, pulled into the boat, and comes out in a can. The machine is going to find every fish within 100 miles. The prototype breaks down, but Hannibal continues his pitch by telling Rokodil that with just ten such ships, he'll catch every single fish in the world, delighting Rokodil and Nina. The prototype suddendly blows up, but Hanni al dismisses it as a technical difficulty that's easy to solve.

Alfred, Henk, Parmezanidas, and the herrings have gone out to sea on an inflatable rowing boat and are looking for Wiedewiedewage, wondering if they'll find him and if he'll help them. Alfred asks Parmezanidas what do sawfishes look like because he doesn't know, and an image of a sawfish appears on the screen, prompting Alfred and Henk to comment on it.

He tells them about a sawfish named Wiedewiedewagen who's apparently hired for "this kind of jobs" often, though Parmezanidas takes a long while to remember his name. Lispel hears about Alfred's plan to hire Wiedewiedewagen to saw Rokodil's ship in half. They're in a hurry because the ship is leaving early in the morning, so immediately go looking for Wiedewiedewagen. Lispel is leaving to report to Rokodil, but knocks himself out by hitting a rock.

At Rokodil's mansion, Hannibal presents Rokodil and his wife with the fully functioning prototype of the next ship, even more efficient than the current one. Hannibal demonstrates it in their aquarium, using a remote control to send a guided net to hunt down one of the fishes. The fish is cornered, pulled into the boat, and comes out in a can. The machine is going to find every fish within 100 miles. The prototype breaks down, but Hannibal continues his pitch by telling Rokodil that with just ten such ships, he'll catch every single fish in the world, delighting Rokodil and his wife. The prototype suddendly blows up, but Hanni al dismisses it as a technical difficulty that's easy to solve.

Alfred, Henk, Parmezanidas, and the herrings have gone out to sea on an inflatable rowing boat and are looking for Wiedewiedewagen, wondering if they'll find him and if he'll help them. Alfred asks Parmezanidas what do sawfishes look like because he doesn't know, and an image of a sawfish appears on the screen, prompting Alfred and Henk to comment on it.

!! Tropes:
* BigLippedAlligatorMoment:
** What the heck does the grass do near the beginning, when Alfred "rides" it and it acts like waves?
** Also the bee he tells Henk he talked to, who wan't shown onscreen but to whom Alfred apparently just finished narrating his life story to (we hear the ending, but the bee remains "behind the camera" and then just goes away).
* CallBack: Henk finds an old photo taken in the Sea Scouts, who Alfred joined in episodes 9 and 10. It also finally reveals that Waterlan won the sailing race, which was left unclear because episode 10 ened long before anybody reached the finish line.
* DubNameChange:
** The fishing town is called Pauhula in the finnish dub.
** Stoppel's wife's name is Liisa in the finnish dub.
* HappilyMarried: Stoppel and his wife.
* FurryFemaleMane: Stoppel's wife has hair that's in an old-timey bun, while male seals and walruses, including Stoppel himself, don't have hair.
* InterspeciesRomance: Rokodil's wife is a pheasant.
* HarsherInHindsight: Remember how the restaurant in episode 12 was serving fish, and Dolf, Hannes, and Wannes each ate one? This episode reveals that [[SapientEatSapient the fishes are all equally sapient and emotionally complex as the more anthropomorphized animals in the setting]].
* CutSong: The finnish dub cuts Herman van Veen's song in Parmezanidas' introduction scene, but Parmenazidas stil says the line "Two plus one minus one is two", which is from said song.
* StuffBlowingUp: The prototype boat.
* LeaningOnTheFourthWall:
** When Alfred asks Parmezanidas what do sawfishes look like and Parmezanidas is surprised that he doesn't know, Alfed says that he can't be the only one who doesn't, glancing at the viewer.
** Immediately after, there's an image of a sawfish on the screen and Alfred and Henk comment on it as if they were able to see it.
