** After the first season, ranch foreman Jonesy, along with Slim Sherman's brother Andy, were Put On A Bus to St. Louis, or more accurately, a stagecoach. This was done after Hoagy Carmichael, who played Jonesy, decided he was burned out of doing a weekly TV series. Andy, played by Bobby Crawford, made three appearances in the second season in spite of having been put on the stage in the season opener. After that, Andy Sherman became the prototype for ChuckCunninghamSyndrome and is never mentioned again even though the series ran for another two seasons, with the producers deciding to cast Spring Byington and Dennis Holmes to fill the void left by Carmichael and Crawford.

* ''Series/HiDeHi'':
** Creator/LeslieDwyer, who played Theatre/PunchAndJudy man Mr. Partridge, left midway during production of Series 6 due to health problems with his character only appearing in that series in location footage. The following series saw his character written out when what appeared to be his dead body was found floating in a swimming pool with a knife sticking out of its back, only for it to be revealed that he'd staged his own death and gone to live with a pub landlady in Cornwall. He was replaced by the similar Sammy Morris, played by Creator/KennethConnor. Dwyer subsequently passed away during transmission of Series 8.
** Barry Stuart-Hargreaves left after Series 7 due to Creator/BarryHoward's [[RoleEndingMisdemeanor drunken on-set misbehavior]]. Almost a case of ChuckCunninghamSyndrome because, although we know he ran away from Yvonne and his job, we never find out why or where he went.
