The FM-7 (short for Fujitsu Micro 7) is a home computer produced by Fujitsu first released in 1982. It's a stripped down version of their FM-8 computer, which is why it was referred to as FM-8 Jr. during development. It was considered part of the major trinity of Japanese computers alongside the UsefulNotes/PC88 and UsefulNotes/SharpX1.

While the FM-7 could not defeat the PC-88, it still managed to sell about 220,000 units and became popular with hobbyists. It received a revision called [=FM-NEW7=] in 1984 with [=M68B09=] integrated memory and an LSI chip. It was discontinued and succeeded by FM-77 models starting from 1984, which featured backwards compatibility with FM-7, which were later succeeded in 1989 by UsefulNotes/FMTowns.
