After Mario cooled down and Sonic revived, he apologized for the outburst and explained what happened that day. Sonic understood before deciding to call that their official rematch. This led Wiz and Boomstick to reanalyze Mario, and they came up with the fact that Mario's reactions speeds are fast enough to react to '''Sonic''' of all people. Mario's allies have been celebrating this feat while his enemies have notched him up a level on their threat meter.
* Mario's known to possess a superhuman level of adaptability--he has always been able to learn and change as necessary to overcome most any manner of hardship with little to no practice. This has enabled him to defeat witches, aliens, monsters, mutants, demons, robots, ghosts, zombies, dinosaurs, dragons, super weapons and...really just about anything you could list. Potentially, he could meet the challenge of even an Overdeity if this attribute persists.
* Upon hearing that Princess Peach ascended to the Pantheon, he rushed to her aid to save her before Bowser found out. * Though he accepts why they are there, he really isn't fond of those who use guns. After all, he appeals to children more often. Unfortunately, by the time a crowd formed around them, no one was able to tell them apart.

Kirk, Jean-Luc Picard and John Sheridan. Even the gruff and serious William Adama has a soft spot for the the Italian plumber. Malcolm Reynolds once jokingly asked Mario for a bit of money to pay a few bills; and Mario, ever the generous man, gave him a treasure chest full of golden coins. Despite being an outlaw, Mario knew that Mal was a good man deep down and that's why he knew he could trust him.

Sometimes they play competitively against each other on lighthearted terms, with 9-Volt and 18-Volt being persistent competitors, but even Konata and Chiaki found 5-Volt's gaming prowess to be unexpectedly tough to take on. 9-Volt and 18-Volt also found Emu Hojo and his allies to be wicked cool given how they've made their abilities and style revolve around game elements, idolizing them to an extent. 9-Volt and 18-Volt have also befriended the duo of Sora and Shiro for their nearly unparalleled skill and dedication with games, but given their [[{{NEET}} trope]], 5-Volt sees the duo as bad role models for her son, and has made 9-Volt aware that trying to follow in their footsteps too recklessly will cause her to show her scary side, something 9-Volt took very seriously, [[NightmareFuelStationAttendant given the vivid tales he's told other kids about her mom trying to ensure 9-Volt doesn't play games for her bedtime.]]

While they do work together to stop certain threats from arising, Sonic is wary that Arthur might end up becoming evil, stemming from an incident where he [[spoiler:slew an illusion of a corrupted King Arthur only to end up being the real King Arthur of his universe]]. Arthur, in response, is rather puzzled about the whole incident, and doesn't like the idea of being viewed with suspicion when [[spoiler:the thing Sonic killed wasn't even a real version of him]]. Of course, given that said quest saw Sonic wield a snarky talking sword called Excalibur (or Caliburn, as it were) that constantly called him "Knave!" and "Fool!", he's actually able to stand the [[Pantheon/{{Anger}} Great Old One who preceded a certain world's demon weapons]] to an extent. Even he has his limits, though, and once he's heard enough from that Excalibur, he will snip back that his Caliburn at least stopped calling him a fool after a while and would actually say something useful.

* Sonic is a speedy blue hedgehog known for thwarting any sort of plan that Dr. Eggman throws his way and the world that they live in (though the hedgehog has stopped other threats in addition to Eggman). The hedgehog has, among other things, a number of different powered-up forms (the most iconic of which is Super Sonic), plenty of familiar faces from his world, and most of all, a cool, snarky, and headstrong attitude even when things get dire.

Whenever he sees the five together, he is quick to grab his food and leave the eatery, given their well-known rivalry over pizza.
