* Junko has started noticing that a fuzzy orange spoon-like alien was trying to befriend their fellow Monokuma units. While plenty of them brushed him off, a couple of them WERE chatting with him, if to just betray him later to drive him to despair. Upon Junko showing him some pictures of what she did to her world, while Wander DID tear up at it, [[RealityEnsues he interrupted their evil gloating of making him cry to say that just because he's sad, doesn't mean he's giving up hope,]] and that he ''still'' believes in Junko to be a good person. Now peeved at him, she ejected him from her temple and tried to block out his declaration of befriending them.

She ascended with the ranking of an Intermediate Deity because of this incarnation, but her threat level grew as she displayed more dangerous powers in her main universe. After unleashing a country-sized blizzard on the Empire, the Court of the Gods considered making her a Greater Goddess, which was finalized after [[spoiler:her true death in the manga canon]].
** When she ascended, she was granted the title of '''Goddess of [[VillainessesWantHeroes Villainesses who Want the Hero]]''', but a number of events (such as [[spoiler:[[IfICantHaveYou declaring Tatsumi's death]] and [[BestialityIsDepraved falling in love with his dragon form]]]]) started making people have second thoughts about her position, and the [[MoralEventHorizon unleashing of the Ice Storm Commander-in-Chief blizzard]] was what caused the Court of the Gods to grant her the title of her name.
* Esdeath was able to rule over her title for a while in peace, until the members of Night Raid ascended. To say she was unhappy to see Akame, [[spoiler:who killed her]], and Mine, [[spoiler:who took Tatsumi away from her]], again is a bit of an {{understatement}}, and she arranged Seryu's ascension in order to combat them. Despite all this, she still pines for Tatsumi, despite being told by him multiple times that he is not in love with her [[spoiler:and already has a girlfriend]].
* Despite being designated to the House of Villains, Esdeath's temple is located in the farthest reaches of the House of Water and Ice, in the middle of a blizzard created by her final trump card, "Ice Storm Commander-in-Chief". According to her, this is so no weaklings will be able to enter her temple.
* Used to be enemies with Arthas, before he was able to convince her to give in to her [[AlwaysChaoticEvil inherent nature]]. [[BloodKnight Esdeath]] [[{{Sadist}} admitted]] that [[EvilFeelsGood she felt better that way]], and conceded to him.
* Her warmongering and SocialDarwinist nature caught the attention of one Senator Steven Armstrong and his Winds of Destruction. Through him, she was able to join the GUAC. When asked about her opinion on Armstrong, Esdeath merely stated he has the power to fulfill his goals.
** Of course, this put a strain between her and [[KnightTemplar Seryu]]. Esdeath was eventually able to convince Seryu to stop whatever MacrossMissileMassacre she was planning on, though the Jaeger still remains on the side of the GUAL.
** Out of all the Winds of Destruction, she likes Sundowner the most, since he also promotes war (for [[WarForFunAndProfit his own reasons]], but still). [[spoiler:She also sympathizes with him for his harsh upbringing, being somewhat reminded of her own childhood]].
* Is compared by many deities to Dio Brando, since both of them were implied to be born evil, and have ice and time powers. Dio didn't like the idea of an imitator and challenged Esdeath to a fight. While both were evenly matched, their bout ended when Dio used The World after Esdeath had already exhausted her energy using Mahapadma. Esdeath has since then been training to use her Trump Card in rapid succession.
* Her relationships with fellow cryomancers is...interesting, to say the least. Elsa and Cygnus Hyoga don't approve of her sadistic ways and her beliefs. Sub-Zero, while impressed with her cryomancer abilities and sadistic ways of finishing off her enemies, also disapproves of her beliefs. Her relationship with Jin Kisaragi, on the other hand, goes ''far'' beyond the others. They dislike the fact how similar they are in their fighting methods, statuses and overall [[{{Yandere}} attitude]] towards [[Pantheon/HeroicAttitude Ragna the Bloodedge]] and Tatsumi. Jin even looks down on her and calls her childish for not getting over Tatsumi, while Esdeath keeps bringing up the things he has done in the past. Every now and then Esdeath has to look over her shoulder in case Jin comes at her on his [[MemeticMutation Ice Car]].
* Since her former superior, Prime Minister Honest, isn't in the Pantheon, Esdeath has offered her services as a freelance enforcer to any organization who needs one. As a result, she found a rival in Gauron when it comes to looking for a job. While they are united with each other against Night Raid, Esdeath finds him [[EvenEvilHasStandards a bit too much for her tastes]].
** Eventually Honest managed to ascend to the Pantheon. She and Seryu both returned under his service. However, she still is willing to serve other bosses.
* Scouted Noob Saibot to join the Jaegers after [[InLoveWithYourCarnage enjoying]] his fatalities, as well as his ability to create shadow clones, which can come in handy when she can't call in her Ice Cavalry. Noob, also enjoying how she finishes off her enemies, gladly joined.
* Is frequently seen in the Houses of Pantheon/{{War}} and Pantheon/{{Slaughter}} (especially the sub-house of Pantheon/ObsceneActions), participating in the carnage of the former and learning new ways to torture opponents in the latter. During one of her trips to the former house, she discovered the Big Gete Star and met Cooler. To her disappointment, [[NonIndicativeName he didn't have ice powers]], but she was delighted to learn about [[CloneArmy the Meta-Coolers]]. While Esdeath does acknowledge the power gap between them, Cooler is wary of her unique powers.
* Is banned from entering the House of Dragons because of her [[spoiler:[[BestialityIsDepraved attraction towards Tatsumi's dragon form]]]], which creeps all of them out. Is also disliked by most Dragon-type Pokémon, due to [[ElementalRockPaperScissors their own vulnerability to her powers]].
* Made an enemy out of Big Boss, who has an intense hatred for her BadBoss tendencies and warmongering for her own selfish desires. Esdeath just shrugs off his contempt for her, knowing that [[{{Hypocrite}} he too needs war to feel alive]], something that Big Boss reluctantly admits is true. Still, he warned her that he's beaten supernatural opponents before, and he'll beat her too when the time comes. The two have since had a very unfriendly rivalry as mercenaries.
* Like many before her, Esdeath decided to face [[Pantheon/HeroicArchetypes Saitama]], after she could feel the intense bloodlust boiling inside him. Of course, [[OhCrap she wasn't expecting]] the might of even one Normal Punch, and she was [[OneHitKill taken care of expectedly]]. To everyone's surprise (or expectation), however, she ''[[InLoveWithYourCarnage enjoyed]]'' his power, and is looking forward to the next time she comes face-to-face with the Caped Baldy.
* Gained the ire of two residents from [[VideoGame/{{Disgaea}} the various Netherworlds]], Killia and Valvatorez. The former for seeing his past self in Esdeath (and also [[Creator/SatomiAkesaka because she sounds like Usalia]], and the latter because of his dislike of warmongers. Their resistance to Esdeath's ice powers is what pisses her off.
** For the same reasons as Valvatorez, Esdeath made another enemy in Kiritsugu Emiya. The fact that he resides in the same house as Night Raid means that an encounter between the two won't be easy for Esdeath, something which makes her mad.
* Sans once challenged Esdeath to a fight to topple her stance on social Darwinism. Once she heard about his reputation as the "Easiest Enemy", Esdeath agreed to fight him. After multiple turns, Esdeath got tired and [[AntiClimaxBoss used Mahapadma to hit him]].
* Surprised many members of the Pantheon, including [[Pantheon/AntiHeroes Night Raid]], when she became [[OddFriendship allies with]] Coyote Starrk. They ended up meeting at one of the GUAC meetings and had a battle at the request of Lucifer, during which [[RedBaron The Empire's Strongest]] found herself [[InLoveWithYourCarnage enraptured]] [[MightMakesRight with Starrk's power]]. Afterwards, they talked and she was [[EvilCannotComprehendGood shocked to learn that not only did Starrk not care for his power, he secretly wished he could be]] ''[[EvilCannotComprehendGood weaker]]''. Starrk originally expected his words to drive the General away in disgust, but to his surprise, she instead claimed that [[WorthyOpponent it would be a sin for one such as he to lose his power]], and so declared herself his ally so as to make sure he would have the motivation to stay strong.
* Shortly after Führer King Bradley ascended to the Pantheon, he sought her out to start a new team of co-conspirators to rebuild his Father's forces (which also became Dante's to an extent when she ascended from being Father's herald). After testing each other in battle, she accepted his offer in return for greater directive control over their operations. He agreed to this, but with the caveat that the team being deployed to serve Honest was out of the question. While the Furious Führer added several more recruits to the team, Seryu, Starrk and Noob Saibot were later brought on board by Esdeath herself, though they remain exceptions to the anti-Honest clause.
** One of Bradley's brothers, Envy, recently revealed his existence in the Pantheon. While she was drawn to Envy's sadism, she heavily disliked his powers, as [[spoiler:her subordinate Bols was killed by a shapeshifter]]. Engaging Envy in a fight, she overwhelmed him and found him to be a waste of time. He's been livid with her ever since, which the rest of the team can clearly see.

* Throught a period of his life, Ryu has struggled with the evil powers of the [[KillingIntent Satsui no Hadou]] that emerged ever since he confronted Sagat in the first World Warrior tournament. However, after managing to tap into the Power of Nothingness, Ryu managed to purge the evil energy from his body permanently. However, the energy inside had enough power to manifest itself into the real world and take a life of its own, resulting in the creation of Kage, the personification of the Satsui no Hadou expunged from Ryu's body. The shadowy figure's mission is to convince his former self that without him he is nothing, even going as far as to challenge Ryu's greatest rivals but ultimately, Kage perished after Ryu admitted that [[ImNotAfraidOfYou he isn't afraid of him anymore]] and sees him as a separate being, causing Kage to cease to exist. At least, until the Shadow One emerged from the pantheon's most shadowy corner, still dead set on becoming one with his former self, whatever the cost.
* Ryu wasn't happy to learn of Kage's ascension but he accepts his existance as a powerful being separate from him, possibly an equal in power, something that Kage refuses to believe and still insists on re-emerging with Ryu. Besides him, Kage has unfinished business with both Akuma and Sagat, both of whom he confronted in the past and even won against, but Kage believes that they were holding back and plans to kill them for good to prove his superiority
* In the past he was better known as [[EnemyWithin Evil Ryu]], but nowadays he goes by another name but many do make the mistake of referring to him as such, increasing his belief that Ryu is nothing without him. One such deity that did confuse him for Ryu was Asura, who he remembers having fought after Ryu succumbed to the Satsui no Hadou and actually keeping up with the destroyer deity. However, unlike with Akuma, Asura has no respect for Kage's destructive ways and evil nature, making him no different from the gods he slaughtered and challenged the shadow one to a fight. Even when he was getting serious, Kage was able to keep up with Asura and before the confrontation could escalate, they were both stopped by pantheon authorities and some members of GUAG who feared they would destroy a huge chunk of the Temple they were in. Before dissappearing, Kage promised he would destroy Asura the next time they meet.
* Kage is a walking reminder to those people that have struggled with a SuperpoweredEvilSide or an alternate [[EnemyWithin evil version of themselves]]. His thirst for power and destruction has also made it hard for him to have a lasting alliance with someone but he has found kinship with other deities like Majin Buu, Nightmare and Dark Link, shadowy entities formed for the evil of the original person (Or in the case of Buu, the purest form of evil that expunged its good side).
* At first it would be seem that Kage and Altria Alter would get along given that both have a similar origin but that didn't turn out to be the case. Given the latters code of honor and not being a destructive as the demon, she usually prefers to fight him off than actually ally with him, [[TeethClenchedTeamwork and even when they share a goal they barely cooperate]]. Similarly, the other Saber Alter Jeanne d'Arc isn't very fond of Kage even if her goals of destroying the worlds would say otherwise, she feels her reasons aren't as petty as the demonic fighter and would also prefer to kick his ass that actually work with him.
** Similarly, Dark Pit is not fond of Kage but he is a lot more antagonistic towards him than other {{Shadow Archetype}}s in the sense that even though he doesn't get along with Pit, he is closer to a rival than an actual enemy and [[EnemyMine doesn't hesitate to help him out if an even bigger evil is involved]]. That and he [[CantLiveWithoutYou can't live without Pit]], which [[NotSoDifferent mirrors Kage's situation in a way]] but unlike him Dark Pit like to be his own being, something that Kage refuses to accept.
* Not fully content with just challenging Ryu's rivals from the same universe, he also has gone after other powerful fighters [[{{Crossover}} outside of their home universe]], starting with the Mishima clan, particularly the Devil Gene wielders. Both Heihachi and Kazuya recognized Kage after having encountered Akuma and promptly took up the challenge but their respective fights ended inconclusively. Meanwhile, Kazumi initially tried to avoid confronting Kage in case her Devil Gene got out of control but once he personally went to challenge her she had no choice but unleash it. Thankfully her old comrade Akuma stepped in and interrupted their fight just to settle things with Kage once and for all, but the demon chose to flee since he was outnumbered.
* When many heard of his obssession with becoming one with Ryu, many compared him to Nu-13 and her desire to be one with Ragna the Bloodedge, which could cause TheEndOfTheWorldAsWeKnowIt. Oddly enough, the demon and the murakumo unit do get along fine provided neither gets in the way of the other and have sparred a few times, although Nu has warned him to stay away from Ragna or else she would have to kill him.
* When he heard of the existance of a being like him who instead of being an expelled evil entity was a good side that was separated from their original self, Kage grew curious and went to investigate the source of this claim. Turns out that said deity was Lana, the good side of Cia and who she even shared a temple with, Kage considered the witch a weakling unworthy of her time, even as far as to praise the original half for discarding the weaker parts of her in order to become strong. However, even Cia opposed Kage as she was ashamed of her actions that were driven by jealousy and evil and even joined forces with Lana after Kage threatened to kill her for refusing to accept to succumb to her evil intents.
* Rarely does Kage regard deities with anything that isn't scorn or a desire to kill. However, he took interest on the infamous "Hero Killer" Stain after learning about the incident he was involved. He felt the sheer power of his KillingIntent residing inside him and sought him out to test his power. After the bout concluded, Kage was impressed by Stain's sheer determination and murderous intent but he didn't return the sentiment, as anyone who is evil or murders without reason is as bad or even worse than the phony heroes he hunts and has nothing but contempt for the demon.
* Initially he was dubbed a shadow by the Investigation Team and contacted Ryu so that they could deal with him like they have done with previous shadows. However, Ryu insisted on rejecting Kage because accepting him once more would restart the whole ordeal with resisting the urges of Satsui no Hadou trying to overtake him instead of creating a new persona. They ultimately agreed and decided to honor Ryu's request, since considering Kage his own being actually caused him to [[CessationOfExistence cease to exist]] in his home universe and even though that doesn't work in the pantheon, it's a lot safer to keep him on his own rather than having him being part of Ryu.

** As a matter of fact, their house is the exact place where Terumi used to reside before he moved to the House of Hatred.
** After Terumi's downfall, Enoshima decides to do her best to surpass him in despair-inducing and depravity.
* Monokuma currently runs a 'school' in the Pantheon's Academy, where he indulges getting any inductees there to kill each other. Enoshima, masterminding this, wants to prove that even the best of the Pantheon Academy can have its dark side to be extremely dark. The Academy is pretty aware of their evil so they try their best to avoid it. When that doesn't happen… Monokuma resorts to kidnapping [[spoiler:and brainwashing]].
* Although capable of getting killed, Enoshima enjoys the hell out of despairing themselves, so it threw a dilemma to those who wants to bring them down… they have to first dispel their love for their own despair.
** One such way? Simply writing down in a Death Note "A death that Junko Enoshima can't enjoy no matter what," like what [[OOCIsSeriousBusiness Rem instructed Light Yagami to do]] upon hearing of their vile acts. [[NoodleIncident Due to it being too catastrophic with its collateral damages,]] they were offered various ways of forgetting such a destructive act, but ultimately declined, passing off as saying "I'll feel this joyous despair soon enough," but secretly using it as a reminder to them to stay clear of those with Death Notes and are willing to use them like that.
* With his teddy bear form and voice, he earns the enmity of Yu Narukami (as it's an insult to his dear friend Teddie) and Doraemon.
* One day, Enoshima was in the vicinity of [[VideoGame/SuperRobotWarsDestiny Perfectio]] when the latter unleashed his despair wave. Enoshima ran to him and begged for more once the… well, the [[TheImmodestOrgasm afterglow]] had worn off. Perfectio considered her weird and just told her to be around when he unleashes the wave.
* Due to being considered Terumi's apprentice, Monokuma and Enoshima considers Nui Harime, Bernkastel's apprentice, his/her rival. Nui, however, mocks Enoshima for not being an actual member of Trollkaiger. If all goes well Enoshima may take Nui's place in Trollkaiger.
* Has become aware that their biggest annoyance, [[Pantheon/{{Heroes}} Naegi]], has been reunited with his [[VideoGame/DanganronpaAnotherEpisodeUltraDespairGirls sister.]] Their response was to laugh, and remark that they should get in contact with THEIR little sister as well… and that they'd hope she'd bring her little friends too.

Until [[spoiler:they found out that Monaca backs out of the conflict between hope and despair after she gave up on continuing her legacy as the successor, which Junko and Monokuma were disappointed with her actions and they sees her as a threat since then]].

She did it by showing that not only did the Pantheon not need three people for NightmareFuelStationAttendant, but that since they spend too much time dominating, their TooKinkyToTorture is not present enough. The fact that she was able to get revenge on them in such a devious way actually pisses them off.
* At one point, Monokuma having a summer party with Kyubey while discussing how horrible they are to every good-aligned deities, until it was interrupted by Kamen Rider 1, Guts and Jotaro Kujo, [[http://haletotheking.tumblr.com/post/58519640184/i-will-admit-though-at-least-coobie-was-just as the three men were prepare to beat]] both Monokuma and Kyubey as a payback for their cruel actions.
* Monokuma and Junko develops an intense hatred towards Kouta Kazuraba due to being a Hope Bringer just like Naegi.
** Also both Monokuma and Junko were not amused of all the Kamen Rider protagonists (and to a greater extend, every ascended members of the Pantheon/TokuBase) as both sees them as a greater threat to their plans. Because of this, Ryoma Sengoku propose a suggestion on both Monokuma and Junko to have a alliance with SHOCKER so they can get back at them, which both of them agrees.
*** At one point, [[Pantheon/AntiHeroes The Gokaigers]] (who were already foiling several attempts at their "high-school killing games") have recruited [[Pantheon/BodilyForm Monkey D. Luffy]] and [[Pantheon/MannersOfDeath Portgas D Ace]] into their efforts to stop them, annoying the two even more. They are currently trying to get [[Pantheon/{{Nature}} Sakazuki]] to let them help eliminate the two. Unfortunately, people like them are the same people Akainu ''WANTS'' to get rid of.
* By far, their worst enemy ever has to be Monomi/Usami, not only for [[spoiler:somehow managing to come back from the dead to kill AI Junko,]] but also the fact she brought along with [[EveryoneLives multiple timelines where the students all survive and Usami even beats down Monokuma when he tries to take control]]. They are one of the few things here that, if they manage to kill them, will ensure them to die in agony and not their usual despair-loving way.
** In a final act of desperation against her, Monokuma declared [[Anime/DanganRonpa3 one final fight against Naegi]], [[VisualNovel/NewDanganRonpaV3 one more class of students to kill]], and [[spoiler:[[Anime/DanganRonpa3 Junko sent a tape to the Main House on just HOW she got the Remnants of Despair to fall into despair in the first place]].]] While everyone involved in this are reasonably shocked and anxious about it being released, Terumi's response to this was less positive, insisting that [[spoiler:[[VillainHasAPoint Junko being nice to her students and slowly corrupting them was a risky move, mainly because at any time, they would of been able to just turn on her once they got all the benefits they could get from her]]]]. This not only puts pressure on Junko and Monokuma to not only perform the worst that they can, but also that this could mean the difference between getting accepted into Trollkaiger or not.
*** [[AllForNothing Unfortunately]] as a result of [[spoiler:simply just brainwashing everyone, never stepping out in the front lines without some form of fighter to back her up, most commonly her sister, and being the cause of Nanami's death, who was much more popular than her]], this just lead to [[NiceJobFixingItVillain all the members of Ultimate Despair being pardoned for their crimes (save herself, obviously)]], a run-in with the King Of All Cosmos [[TheReasonYouSuckSpeech publically and verbally degrading her by calling her too much of a coward who wouldn't have gotten so far]] [[spoiler:if it wasn't for her sister doing all the hard work]] (him going PapaWolf after seeing his son get abused by her and her Monokuma bots also hurts her case quite a bit) [[KickThemWhileTheyAreDown and having Terumi rip up her acceptance letter for Trollkaiger right in front of her face]].
*** As of now, the two did team up one more time to try and ascend a enemy of the King himself from his dimension, and found Roboking as a result. Seeing how his Robo-katamari once caused an apocalyptic scenario within the King's world, the two of them tricked Roboking into ascending and starting a war with the King again. Unfortunately, this stopped shortly after the Prince caught wind of them and managed to talk him down. Even worse, the King now just knows who ascended his most hated enemy from his dimension. [[NeverMyFault Cue Junko and Terumi trying to pin the blame on the other and preparing for the worst.]]
*** Despite her humiliation in the hands of the King of All Cosmos, it seems that her influence among the masses has seemed to only grow in part thanks to the efforts of her staunchest disciples, [[spoiler: Tsumugi Shirogane and Team Danganronpa which turned her mutual killing game into a very popular reality show]]. Even Terumi, which previously shown immense disappointment in her, can't help but chuckle how they essentially made a sadistic concept palatable and even enjoyable for the many. Despite the game [[spoiler: being shutdown by Kiibo's sacrifice]], he eventually gave Junko another chance to join the Trollkaiger as Trollkai Monochrome.
*** One day, Junko received an invitation from the Pantheon/GUAELiebertarianMovement, a group notorious for spreading chaos and despair, praising her for turning murder into a spectacle. Willing to ditch Trollkaiger entirely [[spoiler: (someone warned her that the 'Trollkaiger extra credit' is just Terumi's prank)]], she quickly jumped ship.
* Junko has started noticing that a fuzzy orange spoon-like alien was trying to befriend their fellow Monokuma units. While plenty of them brushed him off, a couple of them WERE chatting with him, if to just betray him later to drive him to despair. Upon Junko showing him some pictures of what she did to her world, while Wander DID tear up at it, [[RealityEnsues he interrupted their evil gloating of making him cry to say that just because he's sad, doesn't mean he's giving up hope,]] and that he ''still'' believes in Junko to be a good person. Now peeved at him, she ejected him from her temple and tried to block out his declaration of befriending them.
** Slowly as Junko gathered more info about him, she discovered that [[spoiler:he's someone with hope could potentially surpass ''Naegi,'' and that he has been befriending people for literally THOUSANDS of years, performing many a HeelFaceTurn with intergalactic tyrants whom destroyed MULTIPLE PLANETS and even emotionless robots]]. She also found out that while [[spoiler:he failed to befriend both Lord Dominator and Hater,]] their superiors hinted that should he get one more season...[[RunningGag of his life]], [[spoiler:[[http://suspendersofdisbelief.tumblr.com/post/147328879511/what-would-have-happened-to-dominator-if-she-had Dominator and]] [[http://crackmccraigen.tumblr.com/post/147131224839/is-there-still-a-chance-of-hater-being-redeemed Hater]] may eventually get redeemed.]] Add in his [[spoiler:infinite optimism,]] and they become someone that even Junko Enoshima fears, and they are doing EVERYTHING they can to make sure that Wander ''never'' gets that far with them.
* They tried to recruit Naughty Bear for their despair inducing games, hearing of how he is able to make even ''robots and zombies'' DrivenToSuicide. It ended with a ton of damage to their temple and a Monokuma manufacturing machine getting destroyed. They are still trying to get him to join their side however.

* Throught a period of his life, Ryu has struggled with the evil powers of the [[KillingIntent Satsui no Hadou]] that emerged ever since he confronted Sagat in the first World Warrior tournament. However, after managing to tap into the Power of Nothingness, Ryu managed to purge the evil energy from his body permanently. However, the energy inside had enough power to manifest itself into the real world and take a life of its own, resulting in the creation of Kage, the personification of the Satsui no Hadou expunged from Ryu's body. The shadowy figure's mission is to convince his former self that without him he is nothing, even going as far as to challenge Ryu's greatest rivals but ultimately, Kage perished after Ryu admitted that [[ImNotAfraidOfYou he isn't afraid of him anymore]] and sees him as a separate being, causing Kage to cease to exist. At least, until the Shadow One emerged from the pantheon's most shadowy corner, still dead set on becoming one with his former self, whatever the cost.
* Ryu wasn't happy to learn of Kage's ascension but he accepts his existance as a powerful being separate from him, possibly an equal in power, something that Kage refuses to believe and still insists on re-emerging with Ryu. Besides him, Kage has unfinished business with both Akuma and Sagat, both of whom he confronted in the past and even won against, but Kage believes that they were holding back and plans to kill them for good to prove his superiority
* In the past he was better known as [[EnemyWithin Evil Ryu]], but nowadays he goes by another name but many do make the mistake of referring to him as such, increasing his belief that Ryu is nothing without him. One such deity that did confuse him for Ryu was Asura, who he remembers having fought after Ryu succumbed to the Satsui no Hadou and actually keeping up with the destroyer deity. However, unlike with Akuma, Asura has no respect for Kage's destructive ways and evil nature, making him no different from the gods he slaughtered and challenged the shadow one to a fight. Even when he was getting serious, Kage was able to keep up with Asura and before the confrontation could escalate, they were both stopped by pantheon authorities and some members of GUAG who feared they would destroy a huge chunk of the Temple they were in. Before dissappearing, Kage promised he would destroy Asura the next time they meet.
* Kage is a walking reminder to those people that have struggled with a SuperpoweredEvilSide or an alternate [[EnemyWithin evil version of themselves]]. His thirst for power and destruction has also made it hard for him to have a lasting alliance with someone but he has found kinship with other deities like Majin Buu, Nightmare and Dark Link, shadowy entities formed for the evil of the original person (Or in the case of Buu, the purest form of evil that expunged its good side).
* At first it would be seem that Kage and Altria Alter would get along given that both have a similar origin but that didn't turn out to be the case. Given the latters code of honor and not being a destructive as the demon, she usually prefers to fight him off than actually ally with him, [[TeethClenchedTeamwork and even when they share a goal they barely cooperate]]. Similarly, the other Saber Alter Jeanne d'Arc isn't very fond of Kage even if her goals of destroying the worlds would say otherwise, she feels her reasons aren't as petty as the demonic fighter and would also prefer to kick his ass that actually work with him.
** Similarly, Dark Pit is not fond of Kage but he is a lot more antagonistic towards him than other {{Shadow Archetype}}s in the sense that even though he doesn't get along with Pit, he is closer to a rival than an actual enemy and [[EnemyMine doesn't hesitate to help him out if an even bigger evil is involved]]. That and he [[CantLiveWithoutYou can't live without Pit]], which [[NotSoDifferent mirrors Kage's situation in a way]] but unlike him Dark Pit like to be his own being, something that Kage refuses to accept.
* Not fully content with just challenging Ryu's rivals from the same universe, he also has gone after other powerful fighters [[{{Crossover}} outside of their home universe]], starting with the Mishima clan, particularly the Devil Gene wielders. Both Heihachi and Kazuya recognized Kage after having encountered Akuma and promptly took up the challenge but their respective fights ended inconclusively. Meanwhile, Kazumi initially tried to avoid confronting Kage in case her Devil Gene got out of control but once he personally went to challenge her she had no choice but unleash it. Thankfully her old comrade Akuma stepped in and interrupted their fight just to settle things with Kage once and for all, but the demon chose to flee since he was outnumbered.
* When many heard of his obssession with becoming one with Ryu, many compared him to Nu-13 and her desire to be one with Ragna the Bloodedge, which could cause TheEndOfTheWorldAsWeKnowIt. Oddly enough, the demon and the murakumo unit do get along fine provided neither gets in the way of the other and have sparred a few times, although Nu has warned him to stay away from Ragna or else she would have to kill him.
* When he heard of the existance of a being like him who instead of being an expelled evil entity was a good side that was separated from their original self, Kage grew curious and went to investigate the source of this claim. Turns out that said deity was Lana, the good side of Cia and who she even shared a temple with, Kage considered the witch a weakling unworthy of her time, even as far as to praise the original half for discarding the weaker parts of her in order to become strong. However, even Cia opposed Kage as she was ashamed of her actions that were driven by jealousy and evil and even joined forces with Lana after Kage threatened to kill her for refusing to accept to succumb to her evil intents.
* Rarely does Kage regard deities with anything that isn't scorn or a desire to kill. However, he took interest on the infamous "Hero Killer" Stain after learning about the incident he was involved. He felt the sheer power of his KillingIntent residing inside him and sought him out to test his power. After the bout concluded, Kage was impressed by Stain's sheer determination and murderous intent but he didn't return the sentiment, as anyone who is evil or murders without reason is as bad or even worse than the phony heroes he hunts and has nothing but contempt for the demon.
* Initially he was dubbed a shadow by the Investigation Team and contacted Ryu so that they could deal with him like they have done with previous shadows. However, Ryu insisted on rejecting Kage because accepting him once more would restart the whole ordeal with resisting the urges of Satsui no Hadou trying to overtake him instead of creating a new persona. They ultimately agreed and decided to honor Ryu's request, since considering Kage his own being actually caused him to [[CessationOfExistence cease to exist]] in his home universe and even though that doesn't work in the pantheon, it's a lot safer to keep him on his own rather than having him being part of Ryu.
