* Episode 95's depiction of the Dudi Ducasse people gradually disappearing along with their ships is deeply unsettling. One of them reports on how much of the various fleets remain, only to suddenly disappear himself.

* Episode 10 delivers a shocker; Yuhi's Earthdamar can [[spoiler:bring monsters to life]] and it drains [[spoiler:Chupataro]] to do so, leaving him looking like a withered husk. It's the closest the series has truly come to Shadow Duels since ''Anime/YuGiOhArcV''.
* Episode 12 takes it even further, as Zuwijo [[spoiler:uses the Earthdamar to clad himself in the form of]] his ace monster Voidvelgr Requiem.
* At the end of Episode 31 Netsuzo is given a gift from the Great King of Terror to cheer him up from his loss against London. Upon him and a skyfish from Fisher Sukai looking at it we are only shown London's and Fisher Sukai's horrified reactions. [[spoiler:The following episode shows us that those who lose are frozen by the Great King of Terror.]]
* Episode 50 has [[spoiler:Damamu nearly disappear after having essentially been born not too long ago due to Zwijo's use of its power]].
* Episode 51 makes it clear that [[spoiler:Zwijo would have invaded and conquered Earth if he had succeeded. Given the implied numbers especially with the scope of an entire star cluster, the advanced technology and the very understandable motivation of wanting to become real lifeforms that would unite the Kartumata humanity's chances would have been very bleak]].
* Episode 78 reveals that [[spoiler:everything since part way through the Galaxy Cup Finals is an illusion created by Kuaidul. And everyone is still trapped within it by the end of the episode]].
* Episode 90 ends with [[spoiler:the reveal that the Velgearians are nearing the end of their lifespans and that their entire species will soon disappear like Kuaidul. In the following episodes not long after that the Kartumata do in fact all start disappearing.]]
* Episode 95's depiction of [[spoiler:Dudi Ducasse gradually disappearing has something deeply unsettling with how not only the Dudi Ducasse people disappear but their entire space ships. Hearing one of them making reports about how much of the various fleets remains only to suddenly disappear themselves on top of that truly makes it feel like as if not only a species is going extinct but that an entire civilization is just outright disappearing.]]
