** Episode 4 of the season reveals that she has been inflicting this old women who remind her of her Mother, before [[CompellingVoice forcing them]] to [[DrivenToSuicide kill and mutilate themselves]] in revenge for her Mother letting her be Hallowed. In order to get Val to cooperate on the war front, the press secretary agrees to give her a phone call with everyone working at the compound where she was Hallowed. From the Doctors and Nurses to performed the proceedure to the people serving food there. And he also agrees to track down her mother so Val can perform her revenge on her actual mother.
** Val's description of her Hallowing is also nightmare fuel, given the trial and error involved and that she forgot her own name.
