** The point above is actually not entirely correct. The Viper Nebula only has one inhabited system with one colony. Destroying the Alpha Relay bought the galaxy several month but imagine being Shepard anyway. Imagine having to choose between killing 300.000 innocent or dooming the ''entire galaxy'' to a Reaper invasion they haven't even begun to prepare for. Especially for a Paragon Shepard who tries to always save the innocent this a nightmare. Watching the system disappear from the galaxy map is...chilling, to say the least.

* A minor one from the Shadow Broker DLC: while you're traversing the outside of the Broker's ship, you can use biotics to fling the opposing mercenaries high enough that the tremendous winds catch them and blow them clear of the ship, at which point they're not your problem anymore. Of course, they're no longer your problem because ''you just threw them off a ship in the upper atmosphere'', leaving them to fall all the way to the planet's surface. And if they somehow survived that, Liara notes that [[DeathWorld the planet's environment is so hostile that the seas boil during the day, and snap-freeze just after sundown.]]

Jack is just ''that'' scary to the other prisoners.

Up To Eleven is a defunct trope

** The whole thing is creepy as hell, but it all goes UpToEleven [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zp-Z69NHlHM when]] you touch the console, glow green, and are sucked into what is pretty much the Matrix, while your companions frantically try to pry open the now-sealed doors. You then find out the REAL story behind the VI (The VI is actually Gavin's brother, David, turned into a WetwareCPU against his will), topped off with a hearty helping of BodyHorror. You know Gavin is really bad when the ''Paragon'' interrupt is to pistol-whip him.

** Remember the face in the last level? It's STARING AT YOU THE WHOLE TIME. Also, those security cameras with the green lights? That's the VI watching you for the entire mission.
** Try reusing the elevator when you get to the bottom. The doors open, and the elevator's ''gone''. The VI says something like, "Brakes not responding," and the elevator slams down the shaft and shatters. And it's never stated, but subtly implied - you are now trapped in an underground facility, with no communications, at the mercy of an insane VI.

* Thane's PhotographicMemory, specifically the flashes of light and the look of his eyes. And not just his appearance as he lapses into one of his memories; the very idea that he can just immerse himself in one of them so easily. As he explains, you can find yourself in happy memories, or you might find yourself recalling an injury, like your knee getting shot, feeling that pain, seeing the damage all over again. At least in such cases, you can just look at the current state of your body to release yourself from that memory's grip, but to think that at any moment, if you were in some bizarre masochistic mood, without warning, your mind finds itself back in that moment of excruciating pain... Imagine if you had more negative experiences than positive ones. You probably don't need to torture drell all that much; just inflict enough pain enough times, and their own minds will finish the job for you.

** Shepard doesn't just plummet. They're clinging for dear life to what's left of the ship while trying to launch Joker's escape pod and just barely manages to do so before another impact knocks them loose and punctures their suit for good measure. We're then treated to Shepard realizing the suit is leaking and frantically grabbing at the leak while hyperventilating. The last thing we see and hear before title screen is Shepard slowly suffocating before going limp and slamming into Alchera's atmosphere. Shepard literally died in one of the most traumatic and painful ways a person can die, and had the bad luck to be conscious for most of it. It's hard not to believe Jacob when he says you were just "meat and tubes".

** Checking the codex reveals an alarming fact about Justicars. Samara - who calmly says she would kill an entire station's worth of police officers for trying to detain her, even though they don't ''want'' to - is one of the ''nice'' ones. Most Justicars are supremely arrogant. And have no compunctions about killing. And under asari law, no-one really questions this.
