** Even leading up to the moment Emily falls into the pool, we see Beethoven in his enclosure sensing that something terrible is going to happen to her and attempts to leave, only to find that his secret tunnel has been blocked off by George, leading to the pooch panicking as he scrambles to find a way out to get to Emily. If he had not thought to unlatch the door with his tongue, he would not have reached Emily in time and she would have died in that pool.

* Crosses over with SugarWiki/FunnyMoments, but towards the end of "Beethoven's 2nd", George has a nightmare consisting of the house being ravaged by dozens of St Bernard puppies before screaming. Even for the average animal lover, especially if you're a neat-freak like George, it is still unnerving to see your home ransacked and destroyed by a bunch of uncontrollable little animals.

* "Beethoven's 2nd" involves a woman with a complete disregard for the life of her dog's puppies, her reaction to them ranging from an intention to drown the puppies to selling them at an absurdly high price all while neglecting and abusing their mother. For the average dog-lover, seeing the woman's cruelty toward the dogs is chilling, to say the least.

** The aftermath doubles as a TearJerker, when after Beethoven leaves after saving her and her siblings and the babysitter come and help her out of the pool, she tearfully admits that she fell in and thought she was going to die. This shows just how horrifying the entire experience was for her first-hand, and how lucky she was that Beethoven was there.

Corrected information.

* ''Beethoven's Second'' has a particularly dark scene when Ryce stops by a party hosted by a guy she likes. They go up to a room where they start kissing. Ryce suddenly decides she wants to leave, but the guy locked the door. You can imagine what would have happened if Beethoven didn't inadvertently save her.

* The first movie has a brief shot, complete with ominous music, of what looks like a crematorium. The second movie may have some of this for kids, as one scene has Regina's Mook, Floyd, holding a puppy over a waterfall. [[spoiler: He never drops it, though.]]

** Understandably, this scene did not sit well with critics who found it to be too much for the kind of film it's in.

* Varnick's faked attack on Beethoven, deliberately provoking the dog into attacking him. The fear the family feels in that moment when they think their dog's become aggressive is quite unsettling.

* Additionally, Dr. Varnick is [[GroinAttack bitten in the crotch]] by another dog just as he attempts to shoot George; horrible as he was, it's enough to make one squirm. Doubly so later when his two lackeys are cornered and attacked by a pack of Dobermans in a junkyard. They pull through, but suffer pretty extensive injuries for their troubles.
