Fiction usually has him as the BiggerBad as far as Ancient Greece is concerned (''AgeOfMythology'', ''PercyJacksonAndTheOlympians'', etc.) by conspiring with mortals and even other gods to escape from Tartarus. Also the namesake for the short-necked plesiosaur ''Kronosaurus'', itself something you'd probably want to run (or rather swim) away from.
