* MotherNature: Api, goddess of the Earth and water, whom the Scythians depicted as having plant feet. She also represent birthing and fertility more broadly. Myths held that she gave birth to all the very first living things. Api remained aloof and indifferent after this however, much like nature is often viewed as being.

"Official", modern scythian studies do not mention Svalius, which was a remnant of mid-19th century scholarship, which equated the Scythians to the "Aryans". This is not the case, as Scythians are one of the Eastern Iranic peoples, not the ultimate progenitor of the linguistic family.

** In spite of these the god Oitosyros (equated by Herodotus with Apollo) and a third god, Svalius, have also been suggested to be sun gods.

* GodOfOrder: Tabiti, the queen of the gods, was also the goddess of the hearth and possibly also the sun. Its speculated that she held a role as a cosmic arbiter of order, extending to the social realm (Idanthyrsus did claim that she protected the king after all)

* "Scythian Ares", a currently unnamed god of war (no doubt a form of Iranian Vayu-Vata, as Lucian of Samosata attests that this god had two natures - as the wind (which brings life) and the sword(which brings death). Temples to Scythian Ares were also a representation of the axis mundi - Vayu-Vata was also a god of space and time), who might have led had warrior woman priests, the basis for the Greek Amazons.

Note: when researching Scythian religion, be VERY careful due to Nazis and Turkic nationalists alike having tried to claim the Scythians as their own.[[note]]Neonazis worship Scythians because of their obsession with racial purity and the idea that Scythians are some "[[MasterRace pure Aryan ancestors]]". There ''were'' Scythians with blonde hair and blue eyes, but recent studies demonstrated that they were ''very'' variegated and the overwhelming majority hardly looked like Northern Europeans. Turkics instead hold the view that since the First Turkic Khaganate (the Göktürk) spanned over former ancient Scythia, Scythians were ancestors of Turkics, or Turkics themselves. For the former case, genetic and archaeological studies indicate that Scythians did play a role in the ethnogenesis of Turkic peoples, but it's hard to evaluate the extent of it. The latter case is generally dismissed by academics.[[/note]] Fairly neutral sources include [[https://www.encyclopedia.com/environment/encyclopedias-almanacs-transcripts-and-maps/scythian-religion this]], [[http://factsanddetails.com/asian/cat65/sub422/item2700.html this]] and [[https://medium.com/@Mullerornis/on-the-scythian-pantheon-44781876b6ef this]].
