''The Devil You Know'' is a 2009 album by the heavy metal band Heaven And Hell. In the mid-2000's, three members of Music/BlackSabbath[[note]]Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Vinny Appice[[/note]] reunited with singer Music/RonnieJamesDio for the first time since 1992 to record three new songs for the 2007 compilation ''Black Sabbath - The Dio Years''. Shortly thereafter, the band had a hugely successful world tour, prompting them to write a brand new album together. Though all four members had been in Sabbath at one time or another, they decided to name themselves ''Heaven And Hell'' [[note]]the title of their first album with Dio in 1980[[/note]] to differentiate themselves from the still active Music/OzzyOsbourne incarnation of Sabbath.

While there are a few faster paced bangers here and there, most of the album is slow, heavy and plodding. Lyrically, the album touches on religion, personal struggles, and of course dark fantasy.
