* LongestSongGoesLast: Subverted; the album closes with "Everybody to the Limit (Live from West Rekjavik)", which has a runtime of 7:56. However, the song only goes for 3:51 by itself, and then after two and a half minutes of silence, the 1:28 [[HiddenTrack "Secret Song"]] plays. The actual longest song on the album, "Moving Very Slowly" goes for 4:06.

* LongestSongGoesLast: The album closes with the nearly eight-minute "Everybody to the Limit (Live from West Rekjavik)". For reference, the second-longest song on the album, "Moving Very Slowly - Taranchula", just barely cracks ''four''.

* {{Malaproper}}: "Moving Very Slowly" includes the bizarre lyric "ashes rain from the 'bove" (instead of "above"). "The 'bove" would become a running gag on the website after this album's release.

* MusicalGag: "Circles" has a guitarist and a harmonica player squabbling between the vocal parts. The harmonica is noticeably out of tune, and at the end, the guitarist [[StudioChatter laughs and asks, "is this song really in G?"]]

* RearrangeTheSong: Several songs on the album are covers of songs that were already available on the website, such as [[Recap/StrongBadEmailE58Dragon "Trogdor"]], [[Recap/StrongBadEmailE45Techno "The System is Down"]], [[Recap/StrongBadEmailE32FlagDay "Strong Badia National Anthem"]], and [[Recap/StrongBadEmailE61MonsterTruck "Because, It's Midnite"]]. In most cases, the songs are faithful arrangements of the originals, though with higher production values. The version of "Everybody to the Limit" on this album is substantially different than the website version, being presented as a "live" performance with different lyrics and a vocoder countermelody.[[note]]It was later revealed that copyright issues with a sample from James Brown's "Funky Drummer" have prevented the original version of "Everybody to the Limit" from appearing on the official ''Homestar Runner'' soundtrack.[[/note]]

* StudioChatter:
** The beginning of "Oh Yeah Yeah" features Marzipan directing the band on how to play ("the chords are A to D, and then I think the change is F to G, or it could be the other way around").
** "Circles" has a guitarist bickering with an out-of-key harmonica player and ends with the guitarist laughing to himself, saying "Where am I? Is this song really in G?"
