** Hannah Diamond has a cover of "Concrete Angel" by Gareth Emery (ft. Christina Novelli) on ''Soon I won't see you at all''.

As a collective, PC Music is… [[WidgetSeries weird]]. While there is diversity from its various artists and collaborative acts, PC Music in general is infamous for its uniquely post-ironic aesthetic, typically exaggerating traits of 2000's commercial-era pop and electronic music to hyper-real, almost-parodic lengths, often featuring amatuer vocalists with pitch-shifted vocals to give a strange dissonance to the artificial cuteness of their genres. Many of the acts are aliases of unconfirmed origin, some of whom might just be [[IHaveManyNames different stage names of other artists]], and even those who are confirmed to be real tend to have an air of surreal murkiness to they way they present themselves

PC Music is a London-based online record label and art collective, composed of artists of various types of {{Electronic|Music}} and {{Pop}} music. Founded in 2013 by A.G. Cook in the wake of a previous "pseudo-label" called [[http://gamsonite.tumblr.com Gamsonite]], the label has since introduced several members who have been steadily releasing music under the name, including Hannah Diamond, GFOTY, Danny L. Harle, EASYFUN, Life Sim, and more.

When taken as a whole, PC Music can be seen sort of as an online post-ironic performance art installation, with various critics interpreting its ongoing and steadily growing entirety as either a critique or an embrace of advertising, modern consumerism and the consumption of music, online identities, and internet culture at large.

In 2014 and 2015, many of the label's acts and affiliates, including Cook, {{Music/Sophie}}, QT, GFOTY, Hannah Diamond, etc. made their live debuts [[http://sxsw.pcmusic.info/ at South by Southwest]], as well as Pop Cube in 2015 as part of the Red Bull Music Academy Festival. In May 2015, the label released a compilation album titled ''PC Music Volume 1'', as well as ''PC Music Volume 2'' in November 2016.

Their website can be found [[http://pcmusic.info/ here]]. They also run a [[https://www.youtube.com/user/pcmusicinfo Youtube]], [[https://soundcloud.com/pcmus Soundcloud]], [[https://www.facebook.com/pcmus/ Facebook]], [[https://twitter.com/pcmus Twitter]], and [[https://www.instagram.com/pcmus/ Instagram]].

Due to the wildly diverging nature of the group and its projects, descriptions of individual artists and notable collaborative efforts have been split into individual folders.

!! Label Acts
[[folder:A.G. Cook]]
Alexander Guy Cook (b. 1990), better known as A.G. Cook, is a producer and founder of PC Music. Having worked on music production and composition for years before starting the label -- including collaborative project "Dux Content" with high school friend and eventual labelmate Danny L. Harle -- Cook has an experimental and quirky take on pop and electronic music, mixing deadpan and simplistic sounds with incredibly dense, multi-layered, and wild arrangements.\\
\\
Cook tends to provide production and web design for various acts in the label, including Hannah Diamond and GFOTY, as well as others outside of it such as [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/QT_(musician) QT]], [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Li_Yuchun Li Yuchun]], and Music/CharliXCX. As of 2017, Cook is Music/CharliXCX's creative director, and has regularly produced and co-produced her mixtapes along with other PC Music producers, such as Danny L. Harle and EASYFUN.\\
\\
He has released solo music -- original work as well as mixes and edits -- for the label both under his own name and as DJ Warlord. He's also one half of acts such as Dux Content (with Danny L. Harle, which precedes PC Music's inception), Lipgloss Twins (with felicita), Thy Slaughter (with EASYFUN), and Boys Next Door (with Music/OneohtrixPointNever).\\

[[folder:GFOTY]]
Polly-Louisa Salmon (b. 1990), better known as GFOTY (Girlfriend of the Year), is a pop singer. One of the earliest acts of PC Music (having already released music under the name for the label's predecessor, Gamsonite), GFOTY is also one of its most unique voices, with a loud, transgressive, abrasive, and almost parodically-vulgar and humorous take on pop music, focused on dialing its most experimental, chaotic, and hedonistic traits UpToEleven.\\
\\
Most of her discography is comprised of mixes and [=EPs=] released under her own name, some of which aren't directly related to the PC Music label. She has also recorded two mixtapes with fellow labelmate Spinee, ''Dog Food Mix 1'' and ''Dog Food Mix 2''.\\

[[folder:Hannah Diamond]]
Hannah Diamond (b. 1991/1992) is a pop singer and visual artist. Introduced to the label and A.G. Cook through GFOTY, she became a mainstay after several hit singles and features, quickly developing her signature identity of mixing over-synthetic and exaggeratedly cutsey "bubblegum hyper-reality" with sincere drama about emotions, relationships and their connection to modern technology.\\
\\
In addition to releasing music, Hannah Diamond is also a photographer and visual designer, designing her own cover and promotional art, and occasionally provides artwork for other acts within the label, including A.G. Cook and GFOTY. She considers both her musical and visual work to be interrelated, and treats the entirety of her persona as an "audiovisual experience."\\

[[folder:Danny L. Harle]]
Daniel Eisner Harle (b. 1989/1990), better known as Danny L. Harle, is a producer and composer, longtime friends with A.G. Cook and one of the earliest names to the label. Having an early background in avant-garde classical genres, Danny approaches pop music with "huge" sensibilities, expanding sounds and emotions in enormously abstract and complex ways. From this, Danny is generally seen as having among the most accessible and commercial appeal in the entire label.\\
\\
In addition to releasing music on the label under his own name (as well as on one occasion as Danny Sunshine), he is also one half of Dux Content (with A.G. Cook) and MC Boing (with Lil Data). In addition, his chart-friendly production style has earned him production/songwriting credits for acts such as Music/CharliXCX, SUPERFRUIT, Clairo, and ''Music/{{Chic}}''.\\

[[folder:EASYFUN]]
Finn Keane, also known as EASYFUN, is a producer and composer. While not much is known about him personally, he generally employs a fun, bouncy, and bubblegum-tinged pop sound in his music.\\
\\
Under the EASYFUN name, he has co-produced for Hannah Diamond and GFOTY, and has production and songwriting credits outside of the label, including with Music/CharliXCX (occasionally co-producing with A.G. Cook under the name Easy FX), Sarah Close, and RAT BOY. He and A.G. Cook have also developed one-act project Thy Slaughter, and outside the label, he also produces classical music and soundtracks under his real name.\\

[[folder:Spinee]]
Hana Risk, better known as Spinee, is a producer and DJ. A mysterious performer [[AnimalMotifs surrounded with dog imagery]], her music has something of a twisted screwball approach to club music, taking inspiration from genres such as rave and grime.\\
\\
Much her discography is comprised of DJ set mixes, released within and outside of PC Music. Within a few months in 2015, she and GFOTY released two mixes together, remixing elements of songs from the latter into ''Dog Food Mix 1'' and ''Mix 2''. \\

[[folder:felicita]]
Dominik Dvorak (b. 1987), going by the stage name felicita, is a producer, DJ, and performance artist. Having gained early solo and collaborative attention before being signed onto the label in 2015, his music regularly slides between being wild, noisy, and frenetically-paced, as well as being off-kilter soundscapes inspired by folk and classical music.\\
\\
Prior to joining PC Music, he was already connected to label names through collaborations with Music/{{Sophie}} and Danny L. Harle, as well as being one half of the then-anonymous Lipgloss Twins with A.G. Cook.\\

[[folder:Kane West]]
Douglas Augustus "Gus" Lobban (b. 1992), also known as Kane West ([[SpellMyNameWithAnS no, not]] [[Music/KanyeWest that other guy]]) is a producer and DJ. Taking the label's elements of StylisticSuck to an extreme, Kane specializes in tongue-in-cheek "rave" music based on crude MIDI instruments, with dense, often cluttered and very awkward grooves and compositions and arrangements to boot.\\
\\
Outside of the label, Gus Lobban is recognized for being one-third of MIDI {{pop}} trio Music/KeroKeroBonito (for more info on his activity there, see its page), and also solo-released more straightforward city pop-inspired music under the name Augustus.\\

!PC Music as a whole and its acts provide examples of:

* AlterEgoActing:
** GFOTY's entire persona is built on evoking a comically hedonistic and whacked-out HardDrinkingPartyGirl, not just in her music, [[https://i-d.vice.com/en_uk/article/neb7vq/hannah-diamond-and-gfotys-beginners-guide-to-pc-music but even]] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jc1H3BaMNLg in interviews]] [[https://www.thefader.com/2015/02/03/gfoty-how-i-live with reputable publishers]]. Like most of PC Music, [[PoesLaw it's really hard to define where GFOTY the character and GFOTY the artist begin and end]].
** Spinee during the transition skits of her ''Dog Food'' mixes with GFOTY is playing herself… who is a dog that makes dog food.
** In the Halloween 2014 Dead or Alive stream, several label members performed with a light horror bend to them, most of them gaining appropriately spooky names: Evil Data, Lipgloss Sins, Ghoulfriend Of The Year, Danny Skel' Harle, Spine, A. G. Spook, Death Sim, Kane Ghost/Pain West (amusingly, Thy Slaughter didn't need to change its name).
* AnimalMotifs: Spinee often associates her PC Music-related work with dogs, visually and audibly. In the skits from her ''Dog Food'' mixes, she also plays one who runs a dog food company.
* AnonymousBand:
** [[ZigZaggingTrope Zig-zagged]]. While the names and histories of some members are public, there are just as many acts [[ReclusiveArtist who have miniscule or straight-up nonexistent online presence aside from their music and alias]]. Some are eventually being outed as [[IHaveManyNames alternate pseudonyms]] of one or more PC Music acts, some remaining eternal online mysteries, leading to unending suspicions on the realness of certain projects, as well as the label's generally surreal nature.
** This also applies to a greater degree for vocalists, some of which are clearly not the artists themselves, but tend to remain uncredited, whether out of privacy or to preserve their mystery.
* CoverVersion:
** GFOTY is fond of adding brief covers of popular songs to her mixes:
*** ''Secret Mix'' has her cover "Nobody Does it Better" by Music/CarlySimon, "It's All Coming Back to Me Now" by Music/CelineDion, and "Unbreak My Heart" by Toni Braxton.
*** ''Cake Mix'' has her cover of "Mysterious Girl" by Peter Andre (named "Mysterious GFOTY"), and "All the Small Things" by Music/Blink182.
** While outside PC Music, Augustus/Kane West did a retooled cover of GFOTY's "Bobby" called "[[https://soundcloud.com/augustusbonito/i-guess-it-doesnt-really I Guess It Doesn't Really Matter]]".
* FunWithAcronyms: GFOTY has an album called ''Call Him a Doctor'', referencing her short film "[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6VhIEQgkAjs VIPOTY]]" where the character's boyfriend is named "Chad".
* HiddenDepths: Several label members, including Danny L. Harle, EASYFUN, and felicita, have experience in various types of classical music in addition to pop and electronic music. felicita in particular often involves himself with traditional arts, and his debut studio album ''hej!'' incorporates elements of Polish folk music and storytelling.
* IHaveManyNames:
** There have been several ''confirmed'' cases of artists having multiple aliases within the label, though most of them are as brief one-offs.
** Danny L. Harle [[PlayedForLaughs ramped this up for laughs]] during his 2014 Dead or Alive set, with names including Huge Danny, Danny Sunshine (which he would actually later use for the release of "Never Thought"), Dane Harle, Mal Danny, [[BreadEggsMilkSquick and Danny "Dick in the Pants" Harle/Charles]].
* OOCIsSeriousBusiness: It's generally presumed that by default, PC Music and its artists act on some level of vague AlterEgoActing, one of the bigger individual examples being GFOTY. However, following a 2015 incident surrounding GFOTY [[RuleOfCautiousEditingJudgement making a not very politically-correct joke]], [[https://twitter.com/GFOTY/status/607961047140573184 both she]] and [[https://twitter.com/pcmus/status/608257022891585538 the label's social media]] "broke character" to publicly apologize and claim responsibility.
* PoesLaw: The entire label is drenched in this. Many generally see PC Music as making some sort of comment on pop music, consumerism, and internet culture, but what exactly it entails --whether it's an [[AffectionateParody affectionate celebration]] or a [[DeconstructiveParody cynical deconstruction]]-- is an individual basis and up for the viewer to determine. The fact most of its acts tend to be private or straight-up anonymous and thus silent regarding the matter doesn't help to bring answers.
** GFOTY is one of the biggest examples of this, with a persona so comically bizarre and trashy that it's extremely difficult to tell how much of it is an act, especially since she tends to maintain "in character" in every appearance she makes outside the music.
** Hannah Diamond is also an interesting example, who has such a hyper-polished and synthetic feel to her, with occasionally borderline-saccharine lyrics to boot. Off the mic, however, [[http://www.thebeatjuice.com/2017/11/01/read-interview-pc-musics-girl-next-door-hannah-diamond/ she's repeatedly]] [[https://www.thefader.com/2016/02/29/hannah-diamond-interview shown to be]] [[LampshadeHanging rather candid about both the synthetic and sincere elements to her persona]], lending a ton of credence that [[SincerityMode it's all pretty much sincere]].
---> ''"I’ve personally had a lot of criticism for being ‘fake’ and things like that. All of the ways it’s been presented do allude to that but although PC music is a lot of different people, I very much consider myself my own self within that. I only contribute to one part of it. People are getting more used to who I am now and realising I am real or what my idea and my vision are for my project."''
* PunkRock: GFOTY is clearly influenced by it, incorporating typical punk-y traits including [[SensoryAbuse messy]], [[StylisticSuck DIY-sounding aesthetics]], and borderline political themes surrounding hedonistic pop culture. It's a little closer to the genre with ''Call Him a Doctor'' thanks to shredding guitar and bass work from Johnny White Really-Really.
* SensoryAbuse: The label and its acts tend to be really fond of this; everyone has their moments of being musically overwhelming due to harshness, denseness, or both, and visually, some of their music videos and websites can get really crazy and [[EpilepticFlashingLights flashy]] ([[Administrivia/YouHaveBeenWarned warnings are not given, but anyone with severe epilepsy should approach them with caution, if not outright avoid them outright]]).
* StepUpToTheMicrophone: A.G. Cook tends to reserve vocal performances to other artists and features, but he's the primary singer in "Superstar". It's also speculated that he's the uncredited male voice occasionally found throughout GFOTY's ''Call Him a Doctor''.
* StylisticSuck: The label has this down to an art, with [[https://tankmagazine.com/tank/live-archive-music/radio-tank-mix-a-g-cook/ A.G. Cook admitting he enjoys "recording people who don't normally make music and treating them as if they're a major label artist]]," with some projects ending up smack-dab in the border between cheesy amateurism, avant-garde idiosyncrasy, and genuine fun.
* WidgetSeries: One of the strangest and most polarizing music labels to come out of London.
* WordSaladLyrics: GFOTY's "The Argument" is half complete gibberish, half [[http://rhymezone.com/r/rhyme.cgi?Word=deterred&typeofrhyme=perfect&org1=syl&org2=l&org3=y a Rhymezone list of words that rhyme with "bird"]] read in sequential order.
