Both are thirty minute albums consisting of two fifteen minute tracks built around a consistent, ticking, 60 BPM, with time as a thematic element, whose titles are anagrams. However, while Timeland is a nearly entirely instrumental mix of world music, electronic, and a bit of rap, Denim takes a motorik, polyrhythmic, krautrock form, with more vocals and guitars, though some electronic elements are still present. The recording process for each other also contrast, with Timeland being mostly individually recorded bits that Stu later mixed together as coherent tracks, while Denim was created via extended jam sessions featuring all six members.
