* RoboticSpouse: The first video for "Cupid's Chokehold". Travie is a factory worker who brings one home and she showers him with affection and food...until one day she starts to malfunction and displays increasingly disturbing behavior. He ultimately abandons her in a ditch and runs away. [[spoiler:She's rescued by an equally robotic Patrick Stump and the two disappear into the night.]]

* {{Bookends}}: Both ''The Papercut Chronicles'' and ''The Papercut Chroicles II'' start and end with a {{Cloudcuckoolander}} electronic voice doing rather strange intro and outro narrations.
* {{Cloudcuckoolander}}: The voice that provides the opening and closing narration for both ''Papercuts'' albums has a tendency to ramble off topic and make weird comments about whatever's on their mind. The monotone, robotic sound of it doesn't help.

* KidsAreCruel: Their third album is called ''As Cruel As School Children''. There are also many songs explicitly on this subject, from that album as well as their other ones - “Faces in the Hall” is one such example. It's very likely most of it was written from personal experience, as Travie's said that he has been bullied as a kid.

Gym Class Heroes is a RapRock band from New York. They formed in 1997, and have released several successful albums. Some of their more popular songs are “Cupid's Chokehold”, “Clothes Off!”, “Stereo Hearts”, and “Ass Back Home”. The current line-up consists of Travie [=McCoy=] (vocals), Matt [=McGinley=] (drums), Disashi Lumumba-Kasongo (guitar), and Eric Roberts (bass).

The band is, officially, still together, and not broken up or on hiatus. However, all of the members are currently working on solo stuff, and there's no word on when Gym Class is going to come back. Not to worry, though, they've done this before - between their 2008 and 2011 albums, when they also did side projects and pursued solo careers. During that time, frontman Travie [=McCoy=] recorded and released a solo album called “Lazarus”, which did pretty well. Currently, it seems like he has a second solo album coming up, though it's not yet known when exactly.

They were often grouped as part of the "Fueled By Five" (five bands from their label, Fueled By Ramen), which also includes Music/FallOutBoy, Music/PanicAtTheDisco, Music/TheAcademyIs, and Music/CobraStarship.
