Emmure is a {{Deathcore}} band from Connecticut. Originally formed as a project between vocalist Frankie Palmeri and rhythm guitarist Ben Lionetti. The latter left in 2009, as did most of the band. Since then, it's been Palmeri and anyone near him who will play instruments. Emmure began as a pretty straightforward {{Deathcore}} with their 2007 debut album ''Goodbye to the Gallows'', but overtime integrated NuMetal elements in their music, which by 2014's ''Eternal Enemies'', became just as prominent, if not moreso, than the deathcore sound.

* FisticuffProvokingComment: The (perceived) insult from [[Music/TheAcaciaStrain Vincent Bennett]] on "Skynet" (despite Vincent's repeated insistence that the song had nothing to do with him) turned into this. While "[=R2DEEPTHROAT=]" explicitly was a shot at him, Frankie didn't stop there, as a stop at Northern Lights in Clifton Park ended with a fistfight between the two that Frankie instigated (the most common recollection being that Frankie confronted Vincent, Vincent laughed and told him to chill out and that he had nothing against him, Frankie sucker-punched Vincent, Vincent warded off Frankie while repeatedly telling him that he wasn't going to fight him, and Frankie upped the ante by putting on knuckledusters, which finally got Vincent to [[NoHoldsBarredBeatdown turn Frankie into vanilla pudding]]).

** The latest single "Torch" however seems to have gone back to more of the band's original deathcore style. That's probably very much to do with the fact that apart from Frankie, it's basically an entirely new band.

But the alternation between clean singing/rapping (especially in their later material) keep it from going higher like other bands. However, lower tunings and heavier playing style by Josh Travis on ''Look at Yourself'' combined with more agressive rapping (including screaming parts) by Frankie lets this album hit a 10 at some parts.
