* DefrostingIceQueen: A girl in Lyu-Ui's school was literally called the Ice Princess. She's frosty because every person she loves end up dying, although she does warm up to Lyu-Ui over the course of a brief relationship.

* OOCIsSeriousBusiness: In the final volume, K treats Lyu-Jin nicely, eats ice cream which he's never done before [[spoiler: hinting that he's willing to die by reviving Lyu-Jin's family (which he is forbidden/actually incapable of doing) and does the things he's always wanted to do before dying]].

* SoBeautifulItsACurse: Wye took a Love Potion that worked not just on men, but also women. It also worked on ''the Sun itself''.

* DisproportionateRetribution: K put a curse on his real name that causes those to speak it unbearable harm because ''some kid made fun of his name''.

** This happens to people of K's and Seven's race, if they happen to fall in love with humans. Because they assimilate themselves to their loved ones, they begin to lose their magic powers.

(A miscalculation on Li-Hun's part) And she finally blames herself one last time when she persuades her friend to make a wish to K [[spoiler: which resulted in her friend's father's death]].

* Really700YearsOld: Several characters, simply put. K himself is something like over 10.000 years old. Wye is even older. K's master is much older than that, give or take the multiple times he's died and been reborn - it's even hinted at that he's actually a deity. And Seven is apparently ''even older'' than that because he refers to his master as a "young greenhorn".

* WhamEpisode: A late chapter ending with the reveal that a girl, who had told her wish to K, ended up losing [[spoiler: her father]] as "payment".

** SickenlySweethearts: They turn into this once they get married.

* DudeLooksLikeALady: Seven. Upon his first appearance, it wasn't clear if it was a man or a woman due to very fine facial features and long hair.

* EmbarrassingNickname: Lyu-Jin's classmate Gyu-Ul is called "Gyul" (Mandarine) by her boyfriend and she hates it.

* FantasticallyIndifferent: Lyu-Jin, which she lampshades after a 150 year old vampire admits his true nature to her. She says that a vampire is kind of not that weird considering she had already encountered [[SeenItAll a flower-person that grants eternal life if you eat it and a thumb-sized sprite]].

* InterruptedSuicide: When K tries to kill himself by jumping off the building of his home [[spoiler: following the dearest thing of a customer - death]] Lyu-Ui's ghost appears and grabs him mid-fall, then throws him back onto his balcony.

* ItsAllMyFault: Lyu-Jin blames herself for her family's death, thinking that her [[BeCarefulWhatYouWishFor wishing that the plane would explode]] because they left her beind was the reason for it. She also blames herself when she thinks she almost got K killed for making him fulfill a wish to Li-Hun and for persuading her friend to make a wish to K, [[spoiler: which resulted in her father's death]].

* HeinzHybrid: Seven. He's from the same race as K, but since he's a mutant, he doesn't assimilate to the person he falls in love with and, while his heart will break if their loved one dies, his heart can regenerate itself.

* NoBodyLeftBehind: People of K's race die by simply leaving behind a small pile of ash.
