* MarshmallowHell: Alto is frequently pressed against Vermeil's GagBoobs. She often uses his head as a headrest for them too.

* WorldOfBuxom: Most of the named female characters[[labelnote:*]]''Everyone'' in the anime. A more flat character is introduced later in the manga.[[/labelnote]] are D or larger, with Vermeil biggest of all in GagBoobs territory, and even unnamed background characters are usually well endowed.

* NoPronunciationGuide: Given how the "L" sound doesn't technically exist in Japanese, Vermeil's name is not pronounced the way one would expect from reading it in English. That is it is fairly clear in the anime that they are saying "Ver-may" with the L silent as opposed to "Ver-mail." However, good luck finding English commentators on the series who use any pronunciation other than the latter.

* {{Ecchi}}: Very much so. While the series is actually more chaste than some other ecchi stories from a visual standpoint, making heavy use of SceneryCensor and BarbieDollAnatomy to hide naughty bits, the humor is still incredibly raunchy. A good example of this is [[ReluctantFanserviceGirl Lilia]], who has [[ForcedOrgasm endured]] [[TheImmodestOrgasm two]] unexpected [[TheModestOrgasm orgasms]] and twice has to [[InvisibleStreaker strip to use her invisibility potions]]. And then there's [[HornyDevil Vermeil...]] In short, she is a proud MissFanservice who routinely has a ton of skinship with Alto that ranges from comically erotic to intensely intimate (and erotic). Not to mention how frequently and intensely she kisses him.

* ShamelessFanserviceGirl: Magic academy student Alto Goldfield is practicing summoning magic in his dorm room. Since he's using an heirloom spellbook, he succeeds in summoning an A-tier succubus named Vermeil. She appears completely naked, swishes a spaded tail, and can't wait to plant her lips on Alto. She becomes his academy familiar, and wears clothes only on command, though she exacts a price for this: she gets to suck some mana out of Alto.

* AerethAndBob: On the one hand, Jessica, Chris, and Elena; on the other hand, Vermeil, Iolite, and Lilia.

** The student mage Iolite murders is given a couple scenes to show a bit of who they were, whereas in the manga they were only shown as a mutilated corpse.

* AndTheAdventureContinues: The end of the anime. While Vermeil and Alto have become an OfficialCouple, Iolite is still out there and Alto is continuing to train up.
