'Usotoki Rhetoric' is a {{period piece}} {{Shojo}} manga series by Ritsu Miyako, published initially in 'Bessatsu Hana to Yume' from August 2012 until April 2018. The story, set around the first year of the Showa era (i.e. 1926), and involves the adventures of [[LivingLieDetector Urabe Kanako]], who left her hometown after it turned against her and her abilities to hear lies. She collapses from hunger and meets [[DefectiveDetective Iwai Soma]], a poverty-stricken detective, who finds out her secret powers, and instead of rejecting her, hires her as an assistant.
