''Shinji Ikari Raising Project'' is a spinoff manga of ''Anime/NeonGenesisEvangelion'', loosely based on the eponymous video game.

The rest is either stylized or realistic, with black/brown hair for most characters and the ButNotTooForeign Kyouko and Asuka as respectively blonde and red-haired. Yui's hair is even significantly darker than in the original series.

* AscendedExtra: Mana Kirishima from the first ''Girlfriend of Steel'' video game. So far, she's basically a less {{Tsundere}} and more flirtatious version of Asuka. Also Kyoko Sohryu, that goes from dead MissingMom that only appeared in a couple of scenes to quirky parent that is an occasional source of embarrassment for Asuka (so still NotSoDifferent from Shinji).

** In volume 13, [[spoiler:[[AliensMadeThemDoIt hypnotized]]]] Shinji actually does molest them, in Asukas words "clearly intentionally!" (unlike [[AccidentalPervert every other time]]). They get all limp like string-cut puppets, and are left by him in [[NotIfTheyEnjoyedItRationalization post-orgasmic glow]] that Yui needs to snap them out of.

* ThirdOptionLoveInterest: All of Shinji's potential love interests but Rei and Asuka, which means Kaworu, Mana, possibly Ritsuko, as well as Aoi, Kaede, Satsuki, and Misato in the game. Kaworu stands out as the 'threat' that drives Asuka and Rei to ally against him to put Shinji back on the right path.

Strangely enough, Rei occasionally does the pose just like in the original series despite not having a strong connection to Gendou.

** With still indecisive Shinji and slowly [[IfItsYouItsOkay forming attraction]] between both girls it seems that the series converges towards full blown [[TriangRelations type 8 love triangle]] relationship between Shinji, Rei and Asuka. They even more frequently starting to have shared a dates.
