* ApocalypseMaiden: Remina is ''believed'' to be one of these because of her father's unfortunate decision to name the world-devouring planet after her. Following nationwide mass hysteria caused by the approach of Planet Remina, a cult-like group forms that believes Remina herself is tied to the planet's arrival, and that ritually sacrificing her will prevent the end of the world. As the planet grows closer and closer, massive mobs of people start to hunt for Remina, demanding her capture and execution.

Added DiffLines:

* SurrenderBackfire: When a bloodthirsty mob surrounds Yasumi's apartment, one cowardly member of Remina's group tries surrendering to them. He's promptly shot and killed by a member of the crowd, causing the others to flee.

* HateSink: In-universe, human Remina is turned into one by those who blame her for planet Remina's appearance. From a meta-perspective, the leader of the cultists who keeps compelling everyone else to kill Remina is the largest one, especially after he's revealed to be the [[spoiler:Goda, who took Remina's rejection of him as an excuse to kill her,]] though there are certainly others such as the rich elite who attempt to escape the destruction of Earth by fleeing to planet Remina.

By TRS decision Whip It Good is now a disambiguation page. Moving entries to appropriate tropes when possible.

* DoggedNiceGuy: Goda tries to put on this facade whenever he's specifically talking to Remina before feeling rejected, in the hopes that Remina will eventually fall in love with him. In actuality, Goda shows little regard for her feelings or agency, and only wants Remina to fulfil his own desires towards her. Whenever he interacts with anyone else, he will curse at them, insult them, or in some ocassions beat the crap out of them.

* WhipItGood: WhipOfDominance: The head cultist's cultist is a vile and sadistic man whose weapon of choice.choice is a whip, and he clearly relishes in using it on Remina. [[spoiler:Becomes even more appropriate when it's revealed he's Goda and he has an EntitledToHaveYou obsession towards Remina, and is using the whip to "punish" her.]]

* BittersweetEnding: With so much emphasis on the "bitter" part that it's only marginally not a DownerEnding.
