** All werewolves. It's mentioned they view close-quarters combat as "play".

** It seems all werewolves do this as an introduction.

** Averted twice with Hime in the first of the new Ovas. Ovas.
** Played with with Riza's skirt. Though we haven't seen anything, she's had two PantyShots observed in-universe.

** And the nine-year time skip. It involves a chrono-bomb and ''at least'' two divergent timelines.

* OurVampiresAreDifferent: They seem very old school, but not everything is known about them yet. They don't like sunlight, but it only seems to weaken them at most. The same goes for water. They can be killed with a stake, but crosses and churches have no influence over them. Biting infects the victim, who behaves more like a zombie than a vampire. They like blood, but it doesn't seem that they need much of it. They can fly, and they can turn into a swarm of bats, as well as communicate with regular bats.

* SuspiciouslySimilarSubstitute: All the Gillmen. Lampshaded at least once.

** [[spoiler:Supposedly, Hiro is in for on of these in the future, judging from a comment by one of the royals. We just don't know what it is yet.]]

** Reiri has shades of this. Most notably seen when Riza says goodbye to everyone, seeing no need to serve Hime any longer. When informed that Riza will come back, Reiri replies, "I-It's not like I want her to come back." while blushing.

** What's more the harem doesn't really happen. Riza is just good friends with Hiro, and Reiri actually hits on ''Hime'' more often. The end theme is a complete fake-out.

** Even needed an invitation to enter a long-abandoned cabin that obviously had no inhabitants or owners.

* ItJustBugsMe: While I understand that phoenixes obviously don't age the same way most of us do, at what age are Hime and her siblings and relatives considered adults? Hime is 17 years which means Emil and Severin had to at least be 18 and Sylvia and Gilliam have to at least be in their early 20's.

http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/PrinRess.png ''Princess Resurrection'' (alternatively titled ''Kaibutsu Oujo'', meaning Monster Princess) is an ongoing supernatural manga publishing in Shonen Sirius by Yasunori Mitsunaga which was adapted as an anime by {{Madhouse}}. The story revolves around the adventures of a young boy named Hiro Hiyorimi who is hit by a truck at the start of the series. He is killed but revived by the master of the maid driving the truck, Hime. Through her blood he becomes half-immortal and becomes a servant to her.

The series revolves around the monsters Hime hunts (although most come to her) with the help of Hiro, Flandre (a [[RobotMaid robo maid]] who can only say [[VerbalTic 'Hooba' (or "Huga" in the official R1 release)]] ('fuga' in the original)), Riza (a [[HalfHumanHybrid half human/half wolf]] who comes in search of Hime for revenge), Reiri (a local vampire who just likes stirring up trouble), and occasionally Hime's sister Sherwood.

Making appearances are Hime and Sherwood's other siblings who all want to take the family throne. To do so, they must eliminate their other siblings and even though Hime has no interest in the throne, she is forced to fight her siblings regardless.
