* TwerpSweating: The Emperor doesn't even bother ''trying'' to intimidate Tetsuya. He's got that part down pat. He just skips straight to the [[DisproportionateRetribution execution by being fed to nasty giant alien worms.]] Cue Battia pulling a [[StarWars Lando Calrissian]] to save Tetsuya from the aforementioned horrible fate.

* BrainwashedAndCrazy: In the manga, the Emperor resorts to mindwiping Kahm to stop her [[strike:rebellion]] relationship with Tetsuya.
