''Manyu Hikencho'' (literally ""Magic Breast Secret Sword Scroll") is a manga by Hideki Yamada that ran in ''Tech Gian'' from 2007 to 2012. A 12-episode anime adaptation ran during the Summer2011Anime season.

* BaldWomen: Justified with the minor character Kenkyou, who is a buddhist nun and has a shaved head. She's also pretty attractive. [[spoiler: Kagefusa]] shaves her head to become a nun as well.

** Kaede's rape scene is censored in the anime version, by keeping the camera above her waist once Kagefusa slips her hand down the front of her fundoshi. All the viewer sees is the implied hand motion and [[LooksLikeShesEnjoyingIt the effect]] it has on Kaede. The scene immediately cuts to a shot of the night sky just as [[TheImmodestOrgasm Kaede screams.]] The manga differs by having Kagefusa [[spoiler: pull Kaede's fundoshi aside so the readers can see that her fingers were inside her]].

** Kagefusa rapes Kaede during the opening scene of episode 1, to punish her for choosing to defect from the Manyuu Clan with Chifusa. The scene ends with Kaede briefly [[TheImmodestOrgasm passing out]], as the camera zooms in [[PoseOfSupplication on her raised hindquarters]] and the damp spot on the ground between her legs.

[[TheHeroine Chifusa]], [[HeirToTheDojo the future successor of the Manyu Clan]], becomes disillusioned of the crazy society in which she lives, and flees with the [[AncientArtifact sacred scroll of the clan]], which explains all of their breast-growing secrets, as well as the technique to destroy the breast. Chifusa gained her status as successor not because she was the eldest of the aristocracy (although being one of the previous successor's children helps a bit), but because of a technique she and she alone possesses: the ability to not destroy, but [[BreastExpansion absorb]] breasts. While remarkable, this is mostly a hindrance to Chifusa. Despite this, she goes on a RobinHood-esque quest to right the wrongs of society and to punish the unjust who flaunt their wealth, mainly her [[ArchnemesisDad father]] who [[EvilOverlord runs the society]], [[BigBad Munenori Manyuu]].

** The first chapter begins with Kagefusa raping a local village girl, simply because she was a commoner with large breasts. Several pages later, the reader learns that Kagefusa's squad also raped the girl's mother to death and killed her father afterward. The ordeal left her so grief-stricken, that she tries to take revenge on Chifusa because she recognized her as being part of the Manyuu Family. In the anime version, Kagefusa [[SparedByTheAdaptation spares the girl's family]] and only takes her breasts.

* ZettaiRyouiki: Chifusa and Kagefusa's standard outfit. Well, pretty much all the Manyuu assassins, really.

* AndTheAdventureContinues: The 12th episode ends with Chifusa reconciling with her sister, Kagefusa, after promising that she'll [[spoiler: restore her breasts once she finally masters Chichi Nagare]]. Then she and Kaede continue on their journey.

** Kaede whose the butt of many jokes pertaining to her flat chest.
** Chifusa also serves as one. like Kaede she's the butt of many jokes mainly because of her chest. Though, unlike Kaede its because her chest is [[GagBoobs insanely large.]] They also been heavily fondled and sucked on by many characters, including her ''own'' sister Kagefusa.

** Averted InUniverse by Muneyuki: years and years of dealing with large breasts to evaluate them has left him with an utter disgust of large breasts, which is quite ironical given the setting. [[spoiler: In the end, Ouka, with whom he has a ShipTease, regain her breasts, which are of modest size and do not make him sick.]]

* DCupDistress: Oiso from is notable for being one of the few large breasted women in the series to hate her breasts. In a fishing village dependent on skilled divers, she was formerly the best, but her breasts grew so large that they got in the way of her diving. [[spoiler: When Chifusa ends up having to use the breast-absorbing technique on her, shrinking Oiso's breasts, Oiso is ''grateful''.]] Kaede looked furious at the idea of hating breasts.

** In the second OVA special, Kagesufa and Kaede have Ouka restrain Chisufa, while they suck on her breasts against Chisufa's will and yes its portrayed as [[GirlOnGirlIsHot female on female fan service.]]

* GracefulLadiesLikePurple: Chichi, the noblewoman from the opening and episode 2, is quite buxom and wears a lavish, dark purple kimono adorned with a flower pattern, the better to show off her wealth and statper.us along with her rouge, ParasolOfPrettiness and hairstyle. The graceful part though is mostly a façade, as seen when she loses her temper.

* HumanShield: Manga-only villain Tomi, upon witnessing Chifusa single-handedly defeats her hitmen, uses her own husband as a shield to protect herself from Chifusa's wrath. Too bad this is useless against a Chichi-giri sword, which phases harmlessly through the man and sever her boobs.

** A special (apparently set before Episode 1), Kagefusa has one when Ouka vigorously massages her breasts, for the same reasons as Chifusa above, presumably.

* InTheBlood: Chifusa's bloodline happens to be that of the enemy of the Manyu clan. The leader decides to make her the heiress due to her incredible potential. It didn't work out.

** Kaede has an obsession with Chifusa. And large breasts. And just hot chicks in general. Even more so in the anime, where she attempts to molest Chifusa at least four times an episode, instead of just once every other chapter. It actually works in Chifusa's favor in episode 2: when the assassin is about to attack an hypnotized Chifusa, Kaede jumps her to suckle her nipples, breaking the mirage and giving Chifusa enough time to counter.

* MakeUpIsEvil: Downplayed with both Chichi (the bossy noblewoman from episode 2) and Toyo (Chifusa's rival in the breast-shaking festival from episode 3), who wears noticeable lipstick and, while not terribly evil, are still haughty snobs. Played straight by Tomi from a manga-only story, who's not only proud of her large breasts, but also a scheming bitch who's secretly poisoning her father-in-law, plans to murder her spouse on their wedding night and [[KickTheDog has her bethroded's love interest exiled and attacked by assassins]].

** Kaede is subject to frequent upskirt shots to place emphasis on her thong and camel toe. At other times, the camera will focus on the width of her hips, [[ShesGotLegs her legs]], and the plumpness of her glutes. And she's the series' main source of [[GirlOnGirlIsHot lesbianism]] by frequently molesting Chifusa.

* SeriousBusiness: Breasts equal everything. EVERYTHING.
** Best seen in episode 3/chapter 3: the breast-bouncing festival sounds idiotic, but it's so important and its benefits are so valuable the villains go as far as hire a Manyuu assassin to remove any competition.

* WorkOffTheDebt: Chifusa and Kaede seem rather used to having to work at the places they rest and eat. In the beginning of episode 4, when they realize they don't have enough money to pay for the food they just eat they immediately put on their waitress uniforms from a previous episode.

* PhraseCatcher: "They're so lesbian" (usually said in deadpan), directed at Chifusa and whichever [[EvenTheGirlsWantHer girl]] happens to be groping her at the moment (usually Kaede).

* TheReveal: [[spoiler: In truth, Kagefusa wasn't Chifusa's first stolen breasts: she managed to perform the Chichinagashi on a young Ouka, stunting her growth and leaving her with a flat chest, which meant ostracism and grudge.]]
* RoaringRampageOfRevenge: Lord Mie is actually [[CrouchingMoronHiddenBadass rather terrifying]] when he finds out that someone's harmed Chifusa('s breast).

* AuthorAppeal: Not the author of the manga, but the director of the anime adaption, Hiraku Kaneko. He has a blatant love for oversized breasts. A lot of elements from the manga are exaggerated in the anime. This is par for the course when it comes to the other adaptations he has worked on, either as a director or an animator (''Anime/WitchBlade'', ''Anime/QueensBlade'', etc). The anime adaption has added nipple sucking in many episodes, a holdover from ''Seikon No Qwaser''...where there was actually a reason for it[[note]]said reason is that the main character essentially got his main powers from breast milk[[/note]].

* BigBreastPride: A lot of women, more specifically noblewomen like to flaunt their breasts or walk around with an air of superiority.

[[TheGovernment The Shogunate]] employ the Manyu Clan, a group of samurai who know the endless intricacies and knowledge of the human breast, to keep the rich and poor in their place. Using knowledge and techniques passed down through the generations, the Manyu Clan nurtures the future aristocracy to reach their buxom potential. They also dispatch of the poor who develop [[BiggerIsBetter massive]], [[AddedAlliterativeAppeal magnificent]] [[UnusualEuphemism mounds]] through the use of their [[SecretArt secret slashing technique]], which [[SoulCuttingBlade rips the "soul" of the breast out of the target's body]]. [[RuleOfSexy Without harming their supple body, of course.]]

** Appies equally to both the Manyuu sisters, due to the size of their breasts and both being [[AmazonianBeauty Amazonian Beauties.]] They're both also capable of lactating when they're aroused, though Chifusa's breasts only trickle. Kagefusa's literally ejaculate large volumes of breast milk during orgasm.

Cue a Rocky-esque montage of her training at a nearby temple to learn how to reduce her size while wearing what is essentially the biggest sports-bra ever. Even after this though, by the anime's end Chifusa ends up with by far the largest breasts in the whole story [[DCupDistress much to her annoyance.]]

** Chifusa initially isn't this due to her bust being fairly modest, but as they grow bigger and bigger Chifusa begins to truly despise her breasts for the unwanted attention they bring her and especially due to how they interfere with her fighting.

* ReformedButNotTamed: Kagesufa seemed to genuinely change for the better becoming more easygoing and carefree. However, she seems to harbor some PsychoLesbian tendencies, such when she actually enjoyed suckling her sister's breasts.

* PsychoLesbian: Kagefusa earlier on, as seen when she molests a victim and later Kaede. Thankfully the psycho part is dropped later on, but that didn't stop her from collaborating with Kaede in molesting her own sister Chisufa.
* ReformedButNotTamed: Kagesufa seemed to genuinely change for the better becoming more easygoing and carefree. However, she seems to harbor some sadistic tendencies, as such when she painfully suckles on her sister's breasts.

She intends to divulge the secrets of her family's scroll to those who need it, to restore equality among the social classes.

* SuspiciouslySimilarSubstitute: Anime-only Toyo, design wise, shares several characteristic (basically being a very buxom woman with long hair and lipstick) with Chichi from the previous episode/chapter 2, and both are haughty antagonists, though Toyo is also a ShamelessFanserviceGirl.

At the start of this series she has an average size bust and is a very efficient fighter, however as her [[BreastExpansion breast grows]] while fighting her female attackers and stealing their busts, they become quite a interference with her fighting skills, especially when they eventually become the largest in the series.

* DCupDistress: Oiso from is notable for being one of the few large breasted women in the series to hate her breasts.
