On September 11, 2021, it was announced that the series will be getting an AnimatedAdaptation. Very little information has been released about it since, but Mashima has stated that the series is still in production as of 2023 (even acknowledging the announcement was made too soon). And instead of Creator/A1Pictures and Creator/{{Bridge}} , the adaptation will be produced by Creator/JCStaff, the studio behind the adaptation of Mashima’s latest series Manga/EdensZero, with the director Shinji Ishihara returning to the series this time as chief director, the episode writer Creator/AtsuhiroTomioka as head writer, and Yasuharu Takanashi as the composer of the new series.
