** Taylor proves her innocence, but that isn't enough to keep the PRT/Protectorate from going after her - while half of it is because they want to keep Taylor from being recruited by a villain gang, the main reason is that she's already proven to be a very powerful Tinker (and, also, the way Taylor proved her innocence was a major source of humiliation for Piggot). However, at this point, the only ones continuing this vendetta are the ENE branch, with the rest of them deciding "out of sight, out of mind" applies.
** Then, Taylor unveils her Plasma Annihilator by destroying the ship blocking Brockton Bay's port and Ellisburg, which causes her to become the focus of the entire PRT as well as the Slaughterhouse Nine, the former refusing to allow anyone access to the kind of firepower Taylor has, the latter because they want to take that firepower by either stealing it or forcing Taylor into their group. The former's pressure only increases after Taylor kills the Slaughterhouse Nine.
