* ''Franchise/{{Fallout}}'' Depicts the pre-war American military in an unflattering light in two instances.
** In the opening to ''Videogame/Fallout1'' two American soldiers are standing next to a Canadian prisoner of war (America had annexed it and violently put down Canadian rebel forces), and one of the soldiers shoots the prisoner on camera. Keep in mind in-universe this footage is a propaganda commercial advertising the success of the war! The soldiers even wave at the camera, proud of the execution they just did.
** Then in ''Videogame/Fallout3'' in the historical VR simulation of the Alaskan liberation, American troops can be seen executing Chinese prisoners of war right out in the open; with no attempt made to hide this from nearby command center. The story does attempt to balance this out a bit by showing the Chinese general, leading the occupation, executing an American prisoner when cornered by the American forces.
