* Many minor enemy commanders in ''Franchise/FireEmblem'', particularly in the early to mid game, serve little purpose in the narrative of their respective games, and only exist to give the player [[BossBattle a boss to fight]]. Naturally, they tend to be ObviouslyEvil and fit into the category of [[RapePillageAndBurn savage brigand leaders]] or [[TheNeidermeyer cruel army generals]] that not even the most pacifistic Lord would think twice about cutting down. A few examples include:
** Dahl from ''VideoGame/FireEmblemMysteryOfTheEmblem'', a bandit whose gang ransacks and defiles the Fane of Raman, then has the nerve to [[{{Hypocrite}} call Marth and his army inhuman and murderers]] for trying to steal back the treasures they stole.
** Munnir/Gandolf, the eldest prince of Verdane from ''VideoGame/FireEmblemGenealogyOfTheHolyWar'', who was ordered by his father to invade Grannvale out of fear that they would invade first. What he ''wasn't'' ordered to do but did so anyway was to send raiders to ransack Grannvale's villages and kidnap House Yngvi's Edain to [[AndNowYouMustMarryMe force her into marriage]]. According to some Verdanites, he even sends his raiders to steal from ''his own'' civilians.
** [[FatBastard Gheb]] from ''VideoGame/FireEmblemTheSacredStones'', a cruel Grado general who makes it clear that he doesn't care what happens to his own men, and even threatens a reluctant {{Mook}} with burning at the stake if he so much as shows a hint of disobedience. He even seems to [[IHaveYouNowMyPretty take an uncomfortable liking to Tana]] when she is captured.
** Schaffer from ''VideoGame/FireEmblemPathOfRadiance'', a mercenary working under Daein. When he hears about Ike's troops heading to Palmani Temple, he invades the temple and takes the priests hostage to use them as [[HumanShield Human Shields]]. When he's defeated, he bemoans that he should've used more priests, or maybe [[BlackComedy some babies]].

Doesn't really fit this trope. Kirk loses that fight pretty badly. Also, the context of that scene is the barflies telling Kirk off for being a douche to Uhura.

* In ''Film/StarTrek2009'', Kirk gets into a random bar fight with some Starfleet recruits before he joins. [[spoiler:They turn up later as part of the Enterprise's crew and get revenge.]]

* ''Franchise/SpyroTheDragon'': [[BearsAreBadNews Moneybags]] from the [[Platform/PlayStation PS1]] games. He frequently blocks Spyro's path, requesting [[CashGate payment]] (in the form of the gems that the dragon had been collecting in his travels) to open the way forward, whether this be a bridge to be raised, a door to be unlocked, a portal to be activated, and so on. He isn't always honest as to whether his services are actually required, and he often assists the {{Big Bad}} of the game [[OnlyInItForTheMoney if they line his pockets]]. [[TakeThatScrappy Naturally, many players love to see him get his comeuppance.]] In ''VideoGame/SpyroYearOfTheDragon'', he gets attacked by each character he releases from imprisonment (after Spyro pays for their release, of course), and, in the post-game, [[spoiler:you can, at long last, chase him down and dole out punishment on him personally after he reveals that he was planning to sell the dragon egg he had found; [[StressRelievingGameplay probably one of the most satisfying things to happen in the entire series]]]].

* ''Anime/PuellaMagiMadokaMagica'': In episode 8, two men on a train are spouting [[StrawMisogynist misogynist nonsense]] and bragging about how awfully they treat their girlfriends. How do you show somebody is a {{badass}} without making them look like a {{jerkass}}? Why look, [[RandomEncounter here comes that guy]] who everybody wants to punch upside the head! Maybe he's [[MuggingTheMonster a mugger]], maybe he's [[TheBully a bully]], maybe he's a {{Slimeball}} or a SmugSnake, maybe he’s [[PoliticallyIncorrectVillain being loudly bigoted]], maybe he's [[ThePeepingTom acting like a creep to an innocent woman]], maybe he's picking on a defenseless bystander. Or maybe he's just [[HateSink a totally annoying jerk]]. Whatever the reason, something about this guy's face just seems to be begging for a fist. His role in the story is simple: he just needs to be so unlikeable that even the AllLovingHero would be tempted to clobber him. When our badass inevitably decides to wipe that smug expression off his face, everybody will cheer and agree he totally had it coming.
