Improved contrast to similar tropes. Ignored Confession and Sarcastic Confession should not be mixed up here. They stand perfectly fine on their own. The reference to Cassandra Truth is more appropriate for Ignored Confession. The page quote is an example of subtrope Aborted Declaration Of Love.

When this happens, the audience has been treated to an Un Confession. Prevalent in series that use the ResetButton liberally, this can lead to the audience tearing their hair out in frustration. Sometimes this can be used to tell the audience something that the characters can't or don't know ahead of time, but more often than not it seems to be to maintain StatusQuoIsGod and FailureIsTheOnlyOption.
