[[FictionalDocument The Monomyth]] suggests that early in their history, the [[{{Precursors}} Aldmer]] who became the Bosmer "soiled Time's line" by "taking Mannish wives", making them a more-Elven version of the Bretons' [[UnevenHybrid Uneven Hybridization]]. It is worth noting that out of all the races of Mer, the Bosmer are the ones who look most similar to humans and have the most human-like skin tones.
