* The second season of ''Anime/TigerAndBunny'' has a bracelet that allows Kotetsu and Barnaby to transform into their Hero forms.

* ''Franchise/PowerRangers'' and ''Franchise/SuperSentai'' have gone through various Transformation Trinkets over the years. Wrist-worn devices are the most common, though cell phone morphers are being seen more often lately, but there are exceptions. The glove-style [=GekiChangers=] in ''[[Series/JukenSentaiGekiranger Gekiranger]]'' and the [[CoolShades sunglasses]]-styled Solar Morphers in ''[[Series/PowerRangersJungleFury Jungle Fury]]'', for example. The [[Series/KyoryuSentaiZyuranger Dino Buckler]] is the most iconic, being the original Power Morpher seen in ''Series/MightyMorphinPowerRangers'', and was belt-worn while transformed.

* Downplayed with the Monkey Staff in ''WesternAnimation/XiaolinShowdown''. While it's main purpose is to merely grant the powers and tail of a monkey, the staff will slowly transform whoever holds it into a monkey. Jack plays it straight every time, as he consistently wields it long enough to change him into a monkey almost completely and usually someone else has to take it away.

** The weapon ''itself'' transforms into a pendant, keychain, badge, card, or other item when not in use, and is activated to transform both itself and its user.

*** [[spoiler:Kamen Rider Arc-Zero is a special case among this series's drivers in that it doesn't require a "key" for transformation. Just pressing the button on the Ark Driver initiates the transformation. However, durring Aruto's time as a FallenHero near the end of the series, he takes up the driver and uses a new Progrise Key with it to become Kamen Rider Ark-One.]]
** ''Series/KamenRiderSaber'' has the Wonder Ride books and the [=SworDriver=]. The books are themed after a mythical creature, real creature, or fairy tale and are inserted into the first, second, or third slot of the [=SworDriver=] respectively. The three riders who use it have one book that activates their primary form (''[[OurDragonsAreDifferent Brave Dragon]]'' for Saber with Kaenken Rekka, ''[[KingOfBeasts Lion Senki]]'' for Blades with Suiseiken Nagare, ''[[Literature/{{Aladdin}} Lamp do Alangina]]'' for Espada with Raimeiken Ikazuchi), and can add others to the other slots in order to get power boosts. Regardless of the number of books or type of them inserted, they always unsheathe their swords to initiate the transformation.
*** There's also Kamen Rider Buster, Kamen Rider Kenzan, Kamen Rider Slash, Kamen Rider Sabela and Kamen Rider Durendal, who each use their actual swords instead of the [=SworDriver=]. Their swords only have one slot, but they can remove their transformation books to add a single power up Wonder Ride book at a time.

*** [[spoiler:Kamen Rider Solomon is a unique case where he needs no sword to get his transformation done. He just needs to insert his ''[[TheSomethingForce Omniforce]]'' Wonder Ride Book into the Dooms Driver Buckle's holder and press the button on top. The same goes for Kamen Rider Storious, only with ''Grimoire'' replacing ''Omniforce''.

* [[SplitPersonality Moka]] from ''Manga/RosarioPlusVampire'' wears a [[CreepyCoolCrosses rosary]] around her neck that [[OnlyTheChosenMayWield only Tsukune can remove]]. When it's on, she's [[NiceGirl Outer Moka]]. When it's off, she's Inner Moka. It's somewhat an inversion though, as the amulet actually serves as more of a [[SealedEvilInACan suppressor]] as [[spoiler:Inner Moka is the real Moka and Outer Moka is not.]]

** ''Anime/HeartcatchPrettyCure'' has perfume bottles (pictured above).

** ''Series/KamenRiderDrive'' has a fancy belt, and it's called... wait for it... [[DepartmentOfRedundancyDepartment the Drive Driver]]. However, it's actually a RobotBuddy type AI that is ''actually'' actually [[spoiler: the inventor of the tech, who saved himself by BrainUploading.]] Shinnosuke calls him "Mr. Belt." (Belt-san.) Its ever changing display is full of {{Mythology Gag}}s, taking on a face like Kivat (the last sentient belt) or a spinning wheel that resembles the turning of the turbines in the Typhoon belts. But for the first time since ''Series/KamenRiderAmazon,'' the belt ''isn't'' the full transformation device. It is a two-parter where the Shift Cars are placed in the arm-worn Shift Brace, for a transformation process that's nigh identical to that seen in ''[[Series/ResshaSentaiTokkyuger ToQger]],'' which it airs alongside, while it requires the belt to detect and process the powers of the shift car inserted, (as seen in episode 3 where he can't transform until Tridoron delivers it JustInTime and he dons it, despite the fact that he'd already been wearing the Shift Brace and had a Shift Car.)

** ''[[Series/ResshaSentaiTokkyuger Ressha Sentai [=ToQger=]]]'' returns to the wrist devices for the main five. However, they're two-piece: a model of each Ranger's personal train car mecha is inserted into the [=ToQ=] Changer. Yes, they are interchangeable. Each train comes with a model to be used in the Changer to summon it, or in some cases use its power at small size. They're similar to the Beast Batteries of ''Kyoryuger''.

* In ''VideoGame/{{Tamagotchi}}! Yume Kira Dream'', Yumemitchi and Kiraritchi have Yume Kira bags which allow the user to transform into something resembling a particular occupation (e.g. a fisherman, a cheerleader, etc.) and giving them the skills of that occupation.

*** The Sixth Ranger has a cane with a dragon head which opens up to reveal the Kyutama slot. He then closes the mouth on the Kyutama before slamming the cane bottom on the ground. Extra ranger Houou Soldier has a sword and shield which both function as his changer, by inserting the Kyutama into the sword (which is sheathed in the shield) before pulling it out, which triggers the transformation.

* Rather than transforming him, Rick Jones' Nega-Bands activated a hyperspace link that allowed him to switch places with [[ComicBook/CaptainMarVell Captain Marvel]], an alien hero who was stranded in the Negative Zone.

** ''VideoGame/SuperMario3DWorld'' sees the return of the ''3D Land''-style Tanooki form. It also is shown to feature a Cat Bell that gives the recipient a Cat Suit (no, not [[CatSuit that kind]]) that allows them to run up walls and tackle enemies, among other things. [[spoiler: And the final battle shows Bowser [[OneWingedAngel deciding to use a Cat Bell power-up of his own]] to fight the player on equal footing.]]

** ''[[VideoGame/PokemonDiamondAndPearl Pokémon Platinum]]'' has two items for the purposes of transforming two Pokémon between their alternate forms. The Griseous Orb allows Giratina take on its Origin Forme in the real world, and the Gracidea flower allows Shaymin to take on its [[{{Flight}} Sky Forme]]. For the latter though, the transformation does not work at night and it can be canceled by Shaymin getting [[StandardStatusEffects frozen]].

* In ''WesternAnimation/HeManAndTheMastersOfTheUniverse2021'', the guardian of Castle Grayskull explains that a "totem" is required to channel cosmic energy like the Power of Grayskull. Adam uses the Sword of Power to become He-Man, but when he shared the Power with his allies, each of them had an item on their person turned into totems so they could transform into Masters of the Universe. [[spoiler:Using [[{{Unobtanium}} kirbinite]], Skeletor converts an item for his three followers into totems to harness the power of Havoc and transform into his Dark Masters.]]

* ''ComicBook/{{Bulleteer}}'': Sara Smart uses the magical Whistle of the Wind Kings to transform into her super powered Sally Sonic form.

* ''Manga/AyakashiTriangle'': Exorcist ninja transform into their battle suits (which often include weapons) with some accessory they wear on their person. Matsuri uses a choker which, being somewhat paranoid, he wears everywhere; it [[NonUniformUniform replaces the tie for his school uniform]] and he even [[CantBatheWithoutAWeapon keeps it on while bathing]]. Soga's is a light-bolt shaped badge, and Reo's a bracelet. An ayakashi makes a similar devices for Suzu's ayakashi medium outfit in the form of a necklace, which Reo refers to as an "outfitting tool".

*** ''Series/UltramanZ'' follows the example of ''Geed' and has the titular Z employ a special device called the Z-Riser, after himself since he was the test subject along with Ultra Medals which work similarly to the Capsules of ''Geed''.
