** In the book, she was born without arms, and needs help to get around because she has balance troubles as a result; she also needs help eating, etc. The slippers don't do anything about her condition, they're just pretty gifts from her father, which allow her to give Elphaba a decidedly backhanded comment (it sounds like she's saying Elphie's pretty enough and doesn't need clothes to look good, and that's probably what she means, but Elphaba clearly hears "How much does an ugly girl need pretty things anyway?").
*** Glinda eventually enchants the slippers to help Nessa with her balance issues. With the slippers, she's still armless, but she can walk and everything by herself without needing outside help.

* Ayrie in [[BaldursGate Baldur's Gate II]] had both her wings removed after being exposed in a cramped cage for month. She still has both arms and legs, though.
* In SengokuRance, two siblings qualify. The female, Mine, is missing an arm. The male, Yukkuru, is missing an eye, both of which, for back story reasons, gave themselves their disabilities.
* Baiken from ''GuiltyGear'' has one arm and is blind in one eye, but she's a babe that'll kick your ass.
* Male example: Big Boss from ''MetalGearSolid''. He's hot to start with in ''Snake Eater'', but the EyepatchOfPower just turns it UpToEleven. It's a well-known fact that EvenTheGuysWantHim.

* ''RivieraThePromisedLand'' has Meute, the resident mermaid, mute to due to an unspecified accident and with a fairy caretaker to speak up for her. * In ''PuellaMagiMadokaMagica'', Sayaka's (unrequited) boyfriend Kyosuke has a mangled hand and is bedridden because of it. Of course, due to Sayaka having access to a wish-granting entity, he doesn't stay disabled for long.

* [[{{Moe}} Nunnally]] [[ProperLady Lamperouge]] from ''CodeGeass'' is really more of a Disabled Cutie at age 14, but family history suggests she'll become one of these in a few years. As a child, she lost the use of her legs when she was caught up in her mother's assassination, and the psychological trauma left her blind. [[spoiler:At the end of the series she recovers her eyesight, displaying rather lovely violet eyes, but remains confined to a wheelchair.]]

* In ''{{Bleach}}'', there's Kukaku Shiba, who lost an arm prior to the story (and either has replaced it with a prosthetic one or not, whether you follow the anime or the manga) and is a BandageBabe with enormous breasts. It's pretty safe to say she's hot.
** Sui-Feng goes this way when she has to make a LifeOrLimbDecision regarding her body aging into dust starting from one hand, then ends up one-armed for the rest of that arc (or beyond?)
** Grimmjow temporarily loses his arm after his invasion of the Karukura Town. Not that his fangirls decreased.

* Subverted with Erza from ''FairyTail'' who loses her eye but gets a replacement.
