* ''Literature/{{Discworld}}'': At the end of ''Literature/TheLastHero'', Cohen and the Silver Horde meet Fingers Mazda, the Literature/{{Discworld}} version of [[Myth/GreekMythology Prometheus]], in this manner. All Mazda understands is that some old guys just freed him from the chains that kept him bound to a rock where vultures could come eat his liver [[spoiler: and handed him a sword]].

** [[ComicBook/RedRobin Tim Drake]] (Robin III) was more-or-less an ascended Franchise/{{Batman}} fanboy. An amateur detective, he deduced the secret identities of Batman and the first Robin. Following Robin II Jason Todd's death and Nightwing's refusal to play sidekick to Bruce again, Tim forced Batman to make him Robin, believing Batman needed a sidekick to keep him stable. His [[ComicBook/RobinSeries own series]] proves him a fan of ComicBook/BlackCanary and ComicBook/{{Wildcat}} whose autograph he is eager to get. A later issue of ''ComicBook/BirdsOfPrey'' showed that Tim was also a huge fan of (the second) ComicBook/BlueBeetle.

* On ''Series/TheLordOfTheRingsTheRingsOfPower'', Galadriel brings Halbrand in Eregion to treats his wounds with Evish cures. There, he meets for the first time Celebrimbor and expresses a childlike enthusiasm upon seeing the TrueCraftsman he heard so much about it. "The Celembribor?"

* [[LetsPlay/YoVideogames Maximilian Christiansen (AKA Max Dood)]] came back from EVO 2017 and told his audience that FightingGame legends like Akira Nishitani (who helped create ''VideoGame/StreetFighterII'' and ''VideoGame/FatalFury''), Katsuhiro Harada (the man currently in charge of ''VideoGame/{{Tekken}}'') and Daigo "The Beast" Umehara were coming up to him, shaking his hand, asking for pictures, and saying how much they enjoyed his videos (Daigo even referred to Max as "my [[SenpaiKohai sempai]]" when he posted the picture online). Max said that he found this all utterly stunning since these are all people he greatly admires himself.

* After he returned from E3 2017, [[LetsPlay/YoVideogames Maximilian Dood]] told his livestream that FightingGame legends like Akira Nishitani[[note]]the designer behind ''VideoGame/StreetFighter2'' and ''VideoGame/FinalFight''[[/note]] and Katsuhiro Harada[[note]]the chief producer of the ''VideoGame/{{Tekken}}'' series[[/note]] came up to him to say they were fans of his work and appreciated everything he'd done to promote interest in fighting games, which utterly stunned him because he owed so much of his life to the work they'd done. He also mentioned that FGC legend Daigo Umehara asked for a picture with him, and when he looked the picture up online later was amused to discover that Daigo had referred to him as "Max-[[SenpaiKohai sempai]]".

* Franchise/MarvelCinematicUniverse:

** [[Film/ShangChiAndTheLegendOfTheTenRings Shang-Chi]] becomes a fan of Sorcerer Supreme Wong after seeing him fight Emil Blonsky in his sister's [[FightClubbing underground superhuman fight club]].

** [[Series/MsMarvel2022 Kamala Khan]] is a huge fan of the Avengers, especially Carol Danvers. She listens to Scott Lang's podcast and attends [[FanConvention AvengerCon]]. The trailer for ''Film/TheMarvels'' shows she's also a huge admirer of Nick Fury.

*** Of course, in ''Series/AgentsOfSHIELD'' it's revealed that this is pretty much how everyone at SHIELD feels towards Coulson. Especially after he got brought back from the dead following the events of ''Film/AvengersAgeOfUltron''. Though it's on a lesser scale compared to how much they all idolize Nick Fury, obviously.

* A villainous variant occurs in ''LightNovel/FateZero''; Uryuu, the demented serial killer, accidentally summons Caster, and soon goes into total fanboy mode when he discovers that Caster is even more enamored with disturbing violence than he is, and has various superpowers to assist in his creatively horrific mutilations. Justified, since Uryuu summoned Caster without a catalyst, so the ritual provided him with the spirit most suited to his personality.

* ''[[https://www.fanfiction.net/s/11813522/1/Fates-of-Ice-and-Fire Fates of Ice and Fire]]'' is a story where characters from ''Literature/ASongOfIceAndFire'' are summoned as Servants for the Holy Grail War in ''LightNovel/FateZero''. When Kiritsugu Emiya summons Ser Jaime Lannister as Saber, he mistakenly calls him Arthur (after all, Jaime resembles the classical depiction of King Arthur). Jaime corrects him but is very flattered because he assumed Kiritsugu was referring to Ser Arthur Dayne, the Sword of the Morning, who was one of his idols.

* ''Film/GhostbustersAfterlife'' has a two way example. Podcast is a big fan of supernatural goings-on, conspiracy therories, and other paranormal stuff, including the original Ghostbusters' heroics. It's the topic of his podcast! It has one regular subscriber...[[spoiler: Ray Stanz himself]]!

* Andrews would elicit a similarly starstruck reaction from Music/LadyGaga at the Oscars in 2015, coming out on stage after the latter performed a medley of songs from ''Theatre/TheSoundOfMusic'' for the film's 50th anniversary. Andrews would confirm the feeling was mutual.

* During the 1992 Summer Olympics, it was a common thing for the US Men's Basketball Team (The trope-naming DreamTeam) for opposing teams to queue up for autographs and photos. These were teams the Dream Team would routinely beat by [[CurbStompBattle fifty points or more.]] But this was also a team full of NBA living legends -- UsefulNotes/MichaelJordan, Ervin "Magic" Johnson and Larry Bird, in particular.[[note]]To put this in perspective, Jordan, Johnson, and Bird (along with Wilt Chamberlain) comprised the contemporary short list of "Best Basketball Player Ever". And outside of Chris Mullin (then considered to be the league's best pure shooter and an eventual hall of famer) and Christian Laettner (the then-reigning college Player of the Year), the others were ''all'' on the NBA Top 50 of All-Time list.[[/note]]

* In ''WesternAnimation/{{Cars}}'', Lightning [=McQueen=] goes Squee over [[spoiler: Doc Hudson]] when he realizes he was a great race car in his day. Leading to the painful scene where none of [[spoiler: Doc]]'s friends will believe him, and [[spoiler: Doc]] watches, knows he is telling the truth, and says nothing.

* ''WesternAnimation/KungFuPanda''
** In the original movie Po is exploding with delight over getting to hang out with the Furious Five. The Five don't quite share his enthusiasm.
** In the sequel Po is thrilled to be locked in the same pressure-point shackles as Tai Lung. Even noting this fact with a bit of audible glee.

* Creator/StevenSpielberg: Legendary director. One of the biggest names in Hollywood. Has actors like Creator/MattDamon [[AwesomeDearBoy champing at the bit]] to work with him. Still couldn't bring himself to call Creator/AnthonyHopkins anything but "Sir Anthony" for the entire shoot of ''Film/{{Amistad}}''.

* Katara of ''WesternAnimation/AvatarTheLastAirbender'' is a total Jet FanGirl for one episode. Hey, AllGirlsWantBadBoys. She loses her capacity to squee harder than most examples here when she learns that he's not just bad, he's a narrow-minded jingoist who considers killing a town full of innocent Earth Kingdom civilians a ringing success for the rebellion, just because there happens to be a Fire Nation camp nearby. In the SequelSeries ''WesternAnimation/TheLegendOfKorra'', Bolin is a pretty big fan of Toph and Zuko due to their actions in the original series. He completely squees when he actually meets Zuko and Toph in person.

* Creator/OsamuTezuka ("Godfather of Manga") is a huge fan of Creator/WaltDisney (and Creator/{{Disney}} in general) and decided to take a trip to America in 1964 to promote the ''Manga/AstroBoy'' series. When Tezuka managed to attend the 1964 New York World's Fair on opening day, he wanted to meet Walt in person. As he was waiting for Walt to finish his speech, he got extremely nervous and excited. During Walt and Tezuka's brief encounter, they discussed plans on working on a project together. According to Tezuka, Walt actually watched the Astro Boy series (which begun airing on American television at the time) and congratulated him and the staff at Creator/MushiProductions. She covers the former's songs InUniverse and in various spinoffs where she gets to meet the others, she visibly [[{{Squee}} squees]] over her inspirations.

* Creator/LinManuelMiranda and damn near everybody he meets. It's typically mutual -- there's actually a large mural of Alexander Hamilton that every celebrity who sees ''Theatre/{{Hamilton}}'' signs backstage. One particular example that ties into that: Hamilfan Cecily Strong impersonated Lin for a skit on ''Series/SaturdayNightLive.'' He hosted the following week, and -- as documented on Twitter -- basically showed Cecily the time of her life in gratitude (capped off, of course, with her signing the Hamilton mural).

* When the Franchise/JusticeLeagueOfAmerica came down on ComicBook/YoungJustice, Arrowette's first reaction was stunned surprise that the ''Justice League'' concerned themselves with ''them''. (Making it all the more dramatic when she slowly realized that they were being unjust, complaining that the young superheroes were acting young, and then turned on them, [[Awesome/YoungJustice2010 telling them off in a manner that reduced them to stunned silence]]. * Fanfic example: In M. [=McGregor=]'s ''[[http://www.tthfanfic.org/Story-16694/MMcGregor+The+Wonderland+Subject.htm The Wonderland Subject]]'', central to which is an [[IntercontinuityCrossover interdimensional crossover]] between ''Series/BuffyTheVampireSlayer'' and the Comicbook/UltimateMarvel universe, Xander and Jean Grey have several instances of mutual squeeing over each other -- he, because he's a big-time comic book fan; she, because she's a fan of a long-running Broadway musical version of ''Buffy'' native to her version of Earth. When they first meet, Jean French kisses Xander after reading his mind.

*** Agent Coulson spends a good part of the film trying to get Comicbook/CaptainAmerica to sign his near-mint-condition trading cards. He also had a hand in designing Cap's modern-day outfit.

*** Several Avengers admire each other. Notably Tony Stark is a huge fan of both Dr. Bruce Banner (it says something when [[InsufferableGenius Tony Freakin' Stark]] admires someone's else's genius) ''and'' [[Comicbook/IncredibleHulk The Hulk]], being one of the few who regards Banner's alter-ego as a superpower, not some condition to be cured.

** In ''Film/CaptainAmericaCivilWar'', [[spoiler:Comicbook/SpiderMan is this to every other Avenger he meets, including those [[CasualDangerDialogue he's actively fighting against]].]]

** Comicbook/BlueBeetle spends most of his time in awe of Franchise/{{Batman}}. He's also fanboyed over previous ComicBook/BlueBeetle Ted Kord and [[ComicBook/{{Aquaman}} AQUAMAN]].

** [[Comicbook/{{Shazam}} Captain Marvel]] finally meets his idol Superman, only to discover that he's nothing like he thought he would be. After Supes beats the tar out of him, destroying the "reformed" Comicbook/LexLuthor's new city in the process, he resigns from the now understandably repentant JL with the words, "You just don't act like heroes." Contextually, the Big Blue's attitude had a lot to do with recent events. [[spoiler:It didn't help that Luthor had gone out of his way to make things look suspicious to Supes so he'd go off half-cocked, thus soiling the League's reputation.]] The same happens with the Ultimen before that.

* Beloved fantasy author Creator/TamoraPierce, on giving up writing comics only to be asked to help write a miniseries for ''Comicbook/RedSonja'' by the legendary Creator/GailSimone: "I know, I know, I swore off comics, but when the splendid Gail Simone asks, what's a girl to say but ::wagging tail thump thump thump:: 'Sure, Gail, sure! Which way should I go? Which way should I go?' ::tongue hanging out, tail bumping furniture::"
