This trope was inspired by a troper unlocking her in ''MarioKart Wii'', and finding out how bizarre it feels to see a person like this having ''that'' much fun.

She's even got the ReallySevenHundredYearsOld thing going for her: a very long lifespan to allow her to accumulate wealth and power...and all used to protect and shelter her family. Even better, she's set up to look like the RichBitch by the local lycanthropes until we learn she's just TheWomanWearingTheQueenlyMask.

** Hera (unlike [[ClassicalMythology the original]]) from ''Disney/Hercules''.

* Princess Kida actually becomes one at the end of ''[[{{Ptitledztlyey0hfvu}} Atlantis: The Lost Empire]]''. That's right -- she's the ''only'' princess in the DisneyAnimatedCanon to actually get promoted to queen in her film.

* [[spoiler: Princess Kida]] actually became one at the end of ''[[{{Ptitledztlyey0hfvu}} Atlantis: The Lost Empire]]''. Yes, believe it or not, she is the ''only'' princess from any Disney animated film to ever actually become a queen at the end of the fulm in which in she starred in!

* Amaterasu from ''JapaneseMythology'' in a rare mythological example. She was made queen of heaven due to her radiant beauty and compassion and tends to be loved by all. She is rarely if ever overshadowed by any of the male deities or portrayed as having a dark side like Hera from ''GreekMythology''.
** ...Although [[GreekMythology Hera]] herself often fit TheHighQueen mold when interacting with anyone who wasn't [[WomanScorned involved with Zeus]] [[ClingyJealousGirl in an intimate way]]. Basically: don't have a thryst of any kind with Zeus, pay Hera her godly respects loyally, and she will bless and reward you quite generously.

* Queen Susan "the Gentle" in ''TheChroniclesofNarnia'' was decribed as the most beautiful woman in the world (Narnia, not Earth).

* Depending on the writer and storyline Queen Hyppolita, WonderWoman's mother and ruler of themyscira, is usually portrayed as this. Even after she is shown going bat-shit crazy and creating an elaborate XanatosGambit to humble her daughter and eliminate one of her opponents she is eventually given an author saving throw by going into the past and serving as the original JSA's Wonder Woman, returning and relinquishing voluntarily most of her authority to two elected amazons.

* Nearly all the queens of [[StarWars Naboo]], especially Padme Armidala.

* Lady Galadriel in ''{{The Lord of the Rings}},'' though technically never a queen, otherwise could be the MostTriumphantExample. Explained by her having seen the faces of the Angels, which grants a greater presence; having one of the Three Rings; and being older than ''[[TimeAbyss the sun itself]]'', and thus the wisdom of ''many, many'': about fourteen millennia.
** Melian from ''TheSilmarillion'' also qualifies. A lesser deity (like Gandalf), older than the world itself, she was Queen of Doriath; her husband Thingol ruled (unfortunately, since he was much less wise than her) but it was she who protected their realm. She knew and taught Galadriel, by the way.

* Queen Ehlana in The Elenium and The Tamuli by DavidEddings. At the beginning she is a DamselInDistress that was poisoned and put into sleep in crystal to keep her alive until the heroes find a cure. When she is finally awakened she [[spoiler:plots revenge against the one who poisoned her, easily {{Batman Gambit}}s a church into choosing her own candidate for a pope, lectures intelligent and kind but with lack of authority king how to be a true MagnificentBastard]]... She is on the good side, don't worry. Subverts the trope as well, as those who get beyond her carefully crafted image find she is very much sneaky, underhanded, cunning, and ruthless, though she genuinely cares for her kingdom and her people.

** Queen Regnant Swanwhite was mostly mentioned as the Narnia version of WorldsMostBeautifulWoman, but it's reasonable to think that she was one of these too.

Such positive queens are not that common in fiction, since women in positions of power are often considered a threat to patriarchy and thus usually portrayed as [[GodSaveUsFromTheQueen evil bitches]] or as [[QuicklyDemotedWoman incompetent]]. Also, EverythingsBetterWithPrincesses since they are usually not directly in charge.
