* ''Film/TheLordOfTheRings: The Fellowship of the Ring''. When the Nazgul burst into Bree, the terrified door guard looks through the door, and gets it slammed off its hinges, ''on top'' of him. Ouch.

* ''Film/{{Deadpool}}'': Deadpool does a variation where he kicks a SUV's door off its hinges into a motorcycle-{{mook}} who's riding up alongside the SUV to shoot him.

* In ''VideoGame/SplinterCell: Chaos Theory'', you can kick open doors and knock out anyone else who is blocking it from the other side. A guard can also kick open a door if something is blocking it. If that something is you, then the door will knock you out, causing an instant mission failed.

* ''SeriesOneHundredThingsToDoBeforeHighSchool'': In "Pilot", Crispo uses the door to knock out Hall Monitor Paul Schmolitor when he catches CJ in the science room attempting to release the raccoon.

* In ''Film/{{girlhouse}}'', Loverboy murders one the IT staff that keep [=GirlHouse=] online by repeatedly slamming his head in a door.

* ''The Specialist'', by Gayle Rivers. The protagonist realises he's being followed, so enters a public urinal and when exiting 'accidentally' slams the door in the man's face. The man is only disoriented enough to be quickly searched to establish that he's carrying a gun before he comes round. It's more the lack of overt anger afterwards that establishes that he's a professional intelligence agent.

* ''Series/BuffyTheVampireSlayer''

** Giles realises that one of Glory's minions is listening at the door, so he yanks it open causing the eavesdropper to start to fall inside, then slams the door into the minion's face.
* PlayedForLaughs In ''Series/{{Bottom}}'' during one of the many violent altercations between Richie and Eddie, Eddie repeatedly slams a refrigerator door against Richie's head to an accompanying LaughTrack.

* ''Literature/CallahansCrosstimeSaloon'' series short story "The Guy With The Eyes". Callahan's Bar has a heavy oak door with a poorly-repaired split in the centre. The split was caused by the head of a thieving patron named Big Beef [=McCaffrey=] in 1947 when Callahan threw him out of the bar.
