green:Green, when not portrayed with landscapes and vegetation, is often associated with mysterious or mystical powers in fiction. A specific way this manifests is aliens, ghosts, witches, zombies, or other paranormal or supernatural entities having green eyes, green skin, and/or just a general aura of green about them. Since nothing naturally emits green light, choosing that as a color scheme for otherworldly creatures is a good way to indicate their unusual nature.

SubTrope of EmeraldPower and SicklyGreenGlow and SuperTrope to GreenSkinnedSpaceBabe, LittleGreenMen, and UndeathlyPallor. Compare GreenIsGross, for when the color green is used to denote disgusting things and may overlap with this. Contrast GreenThumb, when the color green denotes the natural world.

* WesternAnimation/AtomicBetty: Sparky is a short, green alien and one of the main characters.
* The Omnitrix of WesternAnimation/Ben10 gives off a bright green glow whenever it does anything particularly powerful, Ben himself has green eyes, Ben's transformations happen in a flash of green light, and some the alien heroes (Stinkfly, Wildvine, and Upchuck) are green themselves. The trope only increased as the story went on: starting with WesternAnimation/Ben10AlienForce, the Omnitrix itself becomes green, all the alien forms have green eyes, Ben himself dresses in green (and so do his alien forms starting with WesternAnimation/Ben10Omniverse, and it's eventually revealed his favorite color is green (like we didn't guess). The trope only increased as the story went on: starting with WesternAnimation/Ben10AlienForce, the Omnitrix itself becomes green, all the alien forms have green eyes, Ben himself dresses in green (and
link so do his alien forms starting with WesternAnimation/Ben10Omniverse, and it's eventually revealed his favorite color is green (like we didn't guess). He could generally rival Green Lantern at this point.
