Later developments reveal that he's little more than a craven racist [[TheBully bully]] who, after getting pulverized twice while trying his luck in the Grand Line, realized how outclassed he was there and decided to run to the East Blue (the "weakest" ocean in the setting, due to the average bounty being 3 millions or so) to set up shop because he knows the chances of anyone being able to pose a threat to him there are slim to none. Rather than putting in the hard work to get stronger so he won't lose again and achieve his ambitions in the Grand Line where it would actually matter, Arlong just took the easy way out and lived them out in the One Piece equivalent of a backwater, becoming literally a NormalFishInATinyPond.

* In ''TabletopGame/DungeonsAndDragons'', the drow are sometimes portrayed this way. The drow consider themselves a SuperiorSpecies to everyone else, to the point that the only thing worse than [[LadyLand being a male drow in the Underdark]] is being a non-drow in the Underdark. And yet, the drow all being TheSocialDarwinist leads them straight into becoming StupidEvil in-universe. They're lorded over by the ChaoticEvil Lolth, an EvilMatriarch of a {{Jerkass God|s}} who encourages ChronicBackstabbingDisorder and [[ForTheEvulz doing wicked things just for the sake of it]]. The drow society is barely hanging on as a result, with Lolth herself sometimes needing to come down to whip the drow back into shape (despite Lolth [[{{Hypocrite}} encouraging it in the first place]]) and the Underdark is ruled by fiefdoms and city-states because the drow are too disorganized and cutthroat to organize anything bigger than that. Despite all evidence that other societies and/or races are doing way better than they are, the drow still fervently cling to the belief that they're superior to everybody else just because they're drow. If a drow isn't in the proper station that they want to be in, it's [[NeverMyFault always someone else's fault]]. Applied at a macro level, it's sometimes ''everyone else's'' fault that the drow are being kept down, but it's never their own fault.[[invoked]]

* The Music/DeadKennedys song "Nazi Punks Fuck Off" is a song denouncing [[ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin Nazi punks]] as foolish, easily led [[DirtyCoward cowards]] who don't understand the fundamental nature of either the punk subculture or Nazi ideology, nor comprehend the fact that totalitarianism is antithetical to the rebelliousness they embrace. It goes so far as to claim that they'd be among the first victims in a real FourthReich. The song was written when real Nazis started showing up at their concerts because they completely missed the satire of some of the band's songs, like "California Uber Alles" (which was actually a commentary on then-governor UsefulNotes/JerryBrown). The band promptly then wrote the song so that there would be absolutely no mistaking their actual viewpoint.

* ''Film/GlassOnion'': Duke Cody is a vocal MRA who goes off on America for being supposedly subordinated to women instead of alpha males like he envisions himself as but he still lives with his mother and is submissive to her, he allows Miles to sleep with his girlfriend Whiskey after coercing her to do it so that he can get back in the good graces of a man half his size and is deathly allergic to pineapple but doesn't keep an epipen on him.

** The Aryans Derek encounters in prison yell at Derek for hanging out with a black guy, [[{{Hypocrite}} but they're all too eager to do business with a Mexican drug gang]]. And when Derek calls them out for this blatant hypocrisy, they proceed to [[PrisonRape rape him]] in the shower. This incident is what opens Derek's eyes to how much white supremacy relies on InsaneTrollLogic and the AppealToForce.[[invoked]]

The teacher is very condescending towards Chris, Caruso admitted that he only bullied Chris because he felt inferior to him, and the shop security staff were so bigotted that they followed babies, elderly people, and their own staff.

* ''VideoGame/BlacksadUnderTheSkin'': While investigating a suicide, Blacksad finds a message written on the wall of Bobby Yale's locker reading "Fuck Negrose". The writer misspelled "Negroes" ''twice'', the first attempt was crossed out and the second attempt was the final version.

* One of the suspects in the ''Series/ColdCase'' episode "[[Recap/ColdCaseS1E16Volunteers Volunteers]]" was a washed up black militant who ranted about interracial relationships and abortion ([[ConspiracyTheorist insisting]] it was just a means for [[BlamingTheMan The Man]] to commit "black genocide") while also claiming to be all about peaceful and nonviolent protest, despite being in prison for robbing convenience stores at gunpoint, something which he tried to brush off by claiming that it was justified as "reparations."
