* In ''WesternAnimation/MasterRaindrop'' it happens with three of the five elements:
** Jin Hou appears in the team in several scenes, so we know Raindrop would win the monks' competition for the right to keep him.
** Its opening shows Niwa as the element Earth, but the main characters and antagonists thinking the Princess Jade was the element Earth was a plot pont.
** It was worse with Shao Yen. She was treated as the token muggle with martial skills and it was an excuse for the big bad, General Bu, to leave her alone, or at least think at it. Just episodes later it was revealed she was the element Wood. Guess who the opening made a point of introducing as the element Wood since the first episode?

Cleaning these up. There's a difference between foreshadowing and build-up, and being a spoiler. The girls becoming a team was never a spoiler. Just because the character herself didn't know until it happened, it doesn't mean it was meant to be a spoiler for the audience. The show's entire advertising hook was that it was a new show about a team of four girls. Corsac and Fennec being in league with Adam is also set up from the moment they appear, it's also not intended as a spoiler. Plus, Qrow was revealed to be following the kids at the end of the previous volume, so it's again not a spoiler.

* ''WebAnimation/{{RWBY}}''
** It takes several episodes before the titular team is formed, and there is much angst on the protagonist's part as she wonders who she will be partnered with... which is all well and good, except for the part where three other girls are prominently depicted in the intro for that first season, even fighting alongside her in one scene.
** The DarkerAndEdgier turn Volume 3 takes halfway through is foreshadowed by the opening credits theme.
** The Volume 4 opening spoils the fact that Sun is the hooded figure stalking Blake on the ship in "Of Runaways And Stowaways", the fact that Qrow has been watching over Team RNJR in "Family", and that Corsac and Fennec, who don't debut until midseason, are in league with Adam.
** Eventually [[AvertedTrope Averted]] with the Volume 6 opening, where plenty of new characters and story arcs are foreshadowed but kept vague enough to not spoil anything.
** Played straight again with the Volume 7 opening which strongly hints at [[spoiler:James Ironwood's eventual FaceHeelTurn.]]
