* In ''Series/TheOrville'', Creator/MichaelaMcManus portrays a Krill schoolteacher named Teleya and Captain Mercer's new love interest Lieutenant Janel Tyler. On the one hand, casting the same actor multiple times isn't unusual in ''Franchise/StarTrek'', which ''The Orville'' is an homage of. On the other, [[spoiler:Janel turns out to be Teleya after MagicPlasticSurgery, infiltrating the ''Orville'' in order to get Ed kidnapped for his command codes]].

Also the last name Tyler may be a nod at ''Series/StarTrekDiscovery'' having a character named Ash Tyler who eventually turned out to be a Klingon named Voq who underwent extensive surgery to appear human and had the memories of the real Ash Tyler implanted into him. However, the ''Discovery'' showrunner went to great length to hide TheReveal by having Voq's actor listed as Javid Iqbal, which is actually the name of the father of Shazad Latif, who played Tyler]].

* In ''Theatre/CrossRoad'', the same actor plays Signor Costa, Niccolo Paganini's childhood violin teacher who recognizes his DealWithTheDevil and denounces him for it, in act 1; and Music/HectorBerlioz, another composer who Niccolo is, [[JerkWithAHeartOfGold at first, rude to, but ends up helping]], in act 2. Costa, a small town music teacher, is not powerful, but has power over Niccolo. In act 2, after Niccolo has become rich and famous (with Napoleon's sister as his lover and patron), he's the one with power over Berlioz, though Berlioz is important enough to be inviting Chopin, Liszt, and Schubert to perform in a concert with him.

** {{Defied|Trope}} in the case of "The Other Woman" and Greta, Sir Wilfrid's typist. Although they never appear on stage at the same time, the author's note specifically states not to double-cast them, as "the audience will think it is 'plot'--which, of course, it isn't."

** In addition, one of the ensemble players is referred to as "The Bullet". Along with being the one who represents a literal bullet in the multiple duels, this actress reappears throughout the show in roles that foreshadow death. [[spoiler:For example, she plays the last soldier to interact with John Laurens before his death and the woman who tells Phillip Hamilton where to find George Eacker, his future killer.]]

** In ''VideoGame/Persona3'', the protagonist, Ryoji, and Pharos are all voiced by Creator/AkiraIshida and Creator/YuriLowenthal in the Japanese and English dubs respectively. This is because [[spoiler:Ryoji is Death, who had been sealed inside the protagonist's subconscious for the past ten years and had picked up some of his humanity, and because Pharos ''is'' Ryoji before he is entirely reformed as Death]].
** In ''VideoGame/Persona4'', the protagonist and Adachi are both voiced by Creator/JohnnyYongBosch in the English dub. [[spoiler:While the two characters seem totally unrelated at first, it soon comes to light that they are polar opposites of one another in Izanami's game -- Adachi's Persona is even a corrupted version of Izanagi.]] The funny side of this is that [[spoiler:when the two confront each other (and in [[Anime/Persona4TheAnimation subsequent]] [[VideoGame/Persona4ArenaUltimax spinoffs]]), it's just Bosch [[ActingForTwo talking to himself]]]].

* ''VideoGame/ThirteenSentinelsAegisRim'': ''[[ExaggeratedTrope Almost everyone]]''. The story revolves around [[spoiler:a time loop, where several characters survive previous loops and come back in next ones. * In the ''[[{{Film/X2022}} X]]'' film series, Creator/MiaGoth plays both core characters: Pearl, the farm girl from the 1910s, and Maxine, the porn actress from the 1970s, as each is a mirror of the other and framed as the future and past of the other, respectively. In ''X'', the first released film, Goth plays both characters who meet each other in the tail end of the 1970s and reflect on each other, with the story discussing aging out of sex appeal and opportunity with their juxtaposition. ''{{Film/Pearl}}'' is a prequel where Goth plays only Pearl and shows her descent into murder, and the final film ''[=MaXXXine=]'' is set to continue the mirror, being a piece just about Maxine and taking place after ''X''.
