** During his climax fight with Ed in the anime, Envy cycles through several forms, trying to guilt trip him into letting up by turning into Marcoh, his mom, Hughes, and Mustang (which only makes Ed attack ''harder''). * In the novel ''Myth-Taken Identity'', a group of shapeshifters are running around disguised as the protagonist of the series, and their chief uses it against the protagonist's mentor in the climactic fight.
