* Probably the closest we’ll ever get to a real life ''Series/{{Dexter}}'' is [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pedro_Rodrigues_Filho Pedro Rodrigues Filho]], a Brazilian serial killer who targeted criminals and murders pretty much exclusively. However, he is a [[RealityEnsues very unglamorous examination of the trope]]; he was born with a damaged skull due to his abusive father attacking his mother while in the womb, and his first kill was a vice-mayor that fired his father over stolen bread (his father worked as a security guard at a school), from there he committed burglaries, killed a drug dealer, went on a RoaringRampageOfRevenge after his fiancé was murdered by gang members, resulting in a massacre (at wedding, no less), murdered a man that impregnated his cousin and refused to marry her, snuck into the prison holding his father and stabbed him to death in retaliation for killing his mother with a machete (and also took a bite out of his heart), committed a few more murders before finally being arrested (and murdered the other passenger in the arresting cop car when he found out the other man was a rapist), continued to kill in prison because he clearly didn’t give a fuck (racking up 47 new victims) remarking that killing other criminals was "wonderful and satisfying." According to fellow prisoners, Rodrigues was a phenomenon of survival in the harsh Brazilian prison regime, as a prisoner could hardly survive as long as he did. He killed and wounded dozens of fellow criminals in order to survive as well as satisfy his bloodlust. Once, he was attacked by five prisoners, killing three of them and chasing away the other two. Rodrigues also killed a cell mate because he "snored too much" and another because he "did not like his face". To leave no doubt about his willingness to kill, he tattooed on his left arm: "I kill for pleasure" (which was later covered up by another tattoo). Psychiatrists who analyzed him in 1982 wrote that the greatest motivation of his life was "the violent affirmation of oneself." Described as a "perfect psychopath," criminologist and writer Ilana Casoy suggested that Filho was an "avenger/vigilante"-type serial killer with great intelligence and an almost photographic memory who built all of his identity around his murders. Currently, he’s out of prison and lives a completely different life, spending all his time trying to get young people away from crime. He even has a Youtube channel.
