* ''Literature/HankTheCowdog'': In ''Literature/TheCaseOfTheDoubleBumblebeeSting'', Hank initially insists that he got stung by two bumblebees to explain the buzzing noise in the pipe and the painful wounds on his nose. When he finally admits it was a rattlesnake, he pins the bumblebee theory on Drover and declares he'll knock a few points off his grade for it.

** In his test duel where he uses Obelisk the first time, he recounts the duel with Yugi where he used his Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon and claims that even Yugi couldn't beat it, though Yugi already ''had'' him beat and Kaiba only won through an unfair move in the end.

** Horace Slughorn revises his memory of [[spoiler:telling Tom Marvolo Riddle, a.k.a. Voldemort, about the {{Soul Jar}}s known as Horcruxes; the new memory has him telling Riddle to GetOut instead]]. However, the memory has been artificially and obviously altered. Any that haven't been are treated as 100% accurate. Harry manages to get the real memory later.

However, the memory has been artificially and obviously altered. Any that haven't been are treated as 100% accurate. Harry manages to get the real memory later. The new memory also changed what Slughorn's opinion of [[spoiler: Tom]] was at the time: [[spoiler: the edited memory makes it seem like Slughorn disliked the future Voldemort and knew that he'd turn out bad while the true memory reveals that he actually highly favored Tom and thought he had a bright future ahead of him.]]

* ''Series/BreakingBad'': The protagonist Walter White blames his former colleagues Gretchen and Elliot for "cutting him out" of their joint start-up some 30 years prior to the events of the series and "building their empire on his work". As to the latter, there's no granite confirmation for or against - in a tet-a-tet talk with another character he frames it as "we had a couple patents pending - nothing earth-shattering but we knew the potential". Anyway, however prospective those patents were, it fell to G&E to turn them into a multi-billion venture after Walter had sold his share to them. According to the WordOfGood they did not defraud him in any way - he felt looked down to by Gretchen's rich family, threw a fit, left on his own accord and then spent the rest of his life obsessively hating G&E for daring to achieve success without him. The BetterCallSaul prequel features a FlashForward scene, where Walter reveals how twisted his outlook on the situation trully is. He claims that G&E had "masterfully manipulated" him into selling his share.

* During the Battle City arc of ''Anime/YuGiOh'', Kaiba bemoans the fact that Yugi is still regarded as a better duelist than him, even though Kaiba won their last encounter. The fact that Kaiba only won due to threatening to kill himself if he lost (at which point Yugi, who had been on the brink of victory, resigned) has conveniently been omitted from his memory.

* ''Fanfic/OwlsHellThatEndsWell'': [[TroubledAbuser Stella]]. After she warms up to Loona a little, when her earlier abuse of Loona for years, such as her blackmailing all the castle staff into cutting off contact with her, is dredged up; Stella completely recontextualizes her past actions as her looking out for Loona by ensuring she didn't make the same mistake that Stella feels she made of trusting someone who would betray her, forgetting that the entire reason she started that abuse was simply out of rage that Stolas was unconsciously treating Loona like a ReplacementGoldfish for Octavia. Stella also claims at the same time that she's the only one who's been making any effort to form a real friendship with Loona, despite Loona having given Stella ''multiple'' opportunities to reach out which Stella rejected.

** A truly dark example in the penultimate episode of season 4. From Ben's perspective, his talk with Allison is warm as he pours his heart out to her, troubled by his issues as a soldier and they make love. We then see Allison's version of events where [[spoiler: a troubled Ben admits he shot a man he knew was unarmed, tried to rape her and when she pushed him away, ended up killing her in a fight.]]

* ''Fanfic/{{Space to Breathe|Naruto}}'': After Sakura decides to [[ForWantOfANail accept an apprenticeship under Ibiki]], the Sandaime removes her from Team Seven so she can focus entirely on said apprenticeship, replacing her with Kabuto. To hear [[ArrogantKungFuGuy Sasuke]] tell it, however, she didn't leave willingly; he kicked her off the team because she was 'holding [him] back' with her weakness. He also refuses to acknowledge how she's grown, insisting that he's in no way responsible for any issues she might be having... while blaming her for [[NeverMyFault his own problems]].

** When Kowase is near death in chapter 4 he pictures himself with his friends lovingly smiling and having fun while lighting sparklers on Kiritaka's face. Everything is shown as a fond memory of times spent with friends, instead of the horrific brutal torture it actually was.
** After Maria warns Shikimi that she's going to end up alone if she keeps distrusting people, [[BerserkButton she takes serious offense]] at the very notion that she could be alone. She then remembers the various times she has interacted with people, blatantly ignoring the fact that in all of those memories [[FriendshipBribe she repeatedly exacted some form of payment from the people who approached her]] and that in truth all of her relationships are transactional in nature.

* ''WesternAnimation/CourageTheCowardlyDog'': "The Revenge of the Chicken from Outer Space" has the chicken showing Courage a film recapping the pilot, and we're shown how the chicken got cooked. Except here, it was "because" of Courage wrestling the gun from the chicken, and shooting him himself. The truth in the pilot, however, is that the chicken was the one who fired, which Courage ducked, causing the blast to bounce back towards the chicken and roast him. And given Courage's response is to awkwardly scratch the back of his head, it is ''heavily'' implied [[SoreLoser this was deliberate revisionism]].
