Hobbes may not be all that creative, but at least he gets ''his'' wish.

* ''[[Series/TheElectricCompany1971 The Electric Company]]'': The sandwich featured in the "And Sandwich" skit starts out like a delicious, mouth-watering delicacy. But, as the waiter (Jim Boyd) exchanges glances with the cook (Luis Avalos) and names the ingredients – "ham and cheese and tomato and bacon and lettuce and baloney and cream cheese and celery and chopped meat and soy sauce and coleslaw and meat loaf and pot roast and olives and tuna fish and turkey and shrimp and corned beef and peanut butter and liverwurst" – it soon becomes clear this sandwich is an inedible, nauseating mishmash of randomly thrown-together ingredients. In the end, the customer (Rita Moreno) — who is eager to have it — declares she doesn't want the oversized sandwich: The restaurant doesn't have salami ... causing Boyd to collapse in frustration.
** Paul the Gorilla plays a king called King Howard the Hungry, who cannot decide which to have on the royal sandwich: peanut butter or jelly. June Angela brings in the word "and," suggesting that he have peanut butter ''and'' jelly. King Howard is so pleased that he invites June to have lunch and dinner with him. For both meals, they have peanut butter and jelly.

** According to SelfDemonstrating/NormTheGenie, every person who finds a genie's lamp [[WastefulWishing wastes their first wish]], ''[[WastefulWishing without fail]]'', [[WastefulWishing on the exact same thing; a giant sandwich]]. When Chester gets his lamp, he just outright gives him a giant sandwich to prevent him from wasting the first wish and screw up his plan to manipulate Chester into helping him get revenge on Timmy.

* ''Radio/OurMissBrooks'': In "The Cafeteria Strike" (a SoundToScreenAdaptation of "Cafeteria Boycott"), Mr. Conklin hides a chicken sandwich in his office safe. ** He can also throw it to allies, and if he's killed, anyone else can pick it up for 50 HP, except for the Scout, who gets 75 HP because he's shown knocking out a Heavy for his Sandvich in his Meet the Team video. One of the Scout's [[BondOneLiner one-liners]] for killing the Heavy is: "[[PunctuatedForEmphasis I! Eat! Your! Sandwiches!]] [[Film/ThereWillBeBlood I eat 'em up]]!" Killing enough Scouts using the Natascha also alludes to Sandvich with the achievement title "Don't Touch Sandvich".

** He can also get an achievement award for eating 100 of them. There used to be a bug in the game that let the player eat as many as he could, one after another, but that has since been fixed.
** Another edible device for the Heavy is the Buffalo Steak Sandvich which, when eaten, gives him a speed boost and turns all damage he gives and receives into mini-crits. However, the user is restricted to using melee weapons for the duration of the powerup. Of course, technically, this one isn't a sandwich, it's just steak. (Who needs bread?)
